ISRAEL UPDATE

June 24, 2001 - The winds of war blow hard and continuous, as the enemies of Israel gather for the last attempt to destroy Israel.

Egypt has been economically depressed in past decades from devastating wars, corruption, mismanagement, and an escalating rate of birth.

Saudi Arabia had to adjust to the flood of technological tools and advanced weaponry supplied by the U.S., but now is poised, confident and very well funded.

The scary thing about these two countries is they are considered by the world to be moderate, but a moderate fanatic is still a fanatic.

It has been my experience that in looking at the nations of Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Sudan and the others who are openly belligerent and radical, we see that these nations might talk to the media about peace, but their actions and words amongst each other and to Israel is hate-filled.

Regardless if the words come from Sadat or Hussein before their deaths, Bourguilia of Tunisia, or Arafat today the essence is the same, "take a little, get it and ask for more."

Yet Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbullah and men like Osama bin Laden strike fear in our hearts. Concessions are being made and received of those called moderates; the same moderates who were instrumental in starting wars with Israel.

June 24, 2001 - Why is there so much confusion about the end times? Perhaps people are not interested in G-d's Word enough to search for themselves. Then there are those who don't believe in literal restoration and prophetic fulfillment.

But while people argue over the literal concepts of the prophecies of the Old and New Testaments, as well as Revelation, we can look in the middle and see what other men of G-d believed.

Peter gets much notoriety for his sermon on the Day of Pentecost, but what about his words after seeing Jesus in Acts 3:21, "Whom the heavens must receive until the times of restitution of all things which G-d hath spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began."

Luke 1:70,71 "As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets which have been since the world began: that we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us.'

The Gospel written was not just writing of the coming Messiah to save Israel from their sins, as so many try to force the Jew to salvation. No, the function and ministry of Yeshua Ha Maschiach is to restore Israel both spiritually and naturally. His role is to return to this earth and defeat the enemies of Israel both spiritual and physical, then establish His kingdom of which there shall be no end.

Restoration is the key to G-d's plan, not just of Jerusalem and Israel but the earth, the church and the heavens. The prophets spoke of it, but then again so did the apostles and we still have a more sure word of prophecy.
