ISRAEL UPDATEFebruary 17, 2002 - There is nothing on this planet that gathers the people of the world in one place like the Olympic Games.
Few events can compete with the breathtaking panorama and the grandeur of the athletes, as they parade their nations' flags with pride, along with music and entertainment that is world-class.
Many countries measure the success or failure of their athletes as a statement of national superiority.
Billions are generated in revenue at every level of business in the host city, and it proves to be beneficial to all financial participants.
Without a doubt, any journalist or broadcaster benefits from a chance to report from the games, and give their twist as to what is happening.
But beneath the glitter, hype and sensationalism, what do we really have? In essence, a very well orchestrated gathering of the world, where the normal barriers are down and all things are blended.
This union of continents, countries and states, in reality, promotes a one-world concept, and many of the participants promote paganism and the occult.
While I love to watch the competition of athletes, I can't help but be reminded of the cliché: "all that glitters is not gold", and realize that in many subtle ways, the union represented by the Olympics is one of many culminating steps that will bring forth the Antichrist.
February 17, 2002 - The saga of the weapon-laden Karin A freighter, seized by the Israeli Defense Forces, is a clean-cut statement about Arafat's true intentions and the complex web of terrorism.
Intelligence reports document that the freighter was obtained by and operated by Arafat henchman. It was purchased with Saudi Arabian money, loaded and shipped from Iran, destined for either Lebanon and Hizbullah, Hamas, or the Islamic Jihad.
The official stamp of the Palestinian Authority, along with Arafat’s personal signature, was found on the documents, thereby indicating awareness at the highest levels of Palestinian leadership.
Syria, Iran, and the Hizbullah claim to be fundamentalist, whereas Saudi Arabia claims to be moderate, while Hamas and Islamic Jihad stress their fundamental approach to Islam.
Yet with all the international influence, logistics and funding, Arafat, the "architect of peace", stands in the light of truth as the one to be held accountable and liable.
His coming to the peace table in 1993 bears a striking resemblance to a prophetic description of the end days, "And both these kings’ hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table, but it shall not prosper, for yet the end shall be at the time appointed." Daniel 11:27.
Just as Nebuchadnezzar's kingdom was weighed in G-d's balance and brought down, so shall Arafat's - even with his “peaceful gestures" at the table - G-d sees the lies. Soon, the “king” and the mischief of these evil plans will be destroyed once and for all.
