ISRAEL UPDATEMarch 10, 2002 - Recently, George Tenet, head of the CIA, was before Congress answering many questions related to the 9-11 tragedy.
During his testimony he made it clear that Osama bin Laden’s terror group, al-Queida, is training and operating in 68 different countries.
Tenet went on to identify Iran as the primary nation promoting terrorism around the world and Iraq as a supporter of bin Laden and company.
By the time you read this article, we will be starting the sixth month of taking the war to the terrorists in Afghanistan. This causes us to realize that after the defeat of the Taliban forces, it will be one down and sixty-seven to go.
Coupled with this is the fact that America’s borders must be monitored, as well as protecting our citizens-at-large.
With so much readily available on the Internet, one can’t help but wonder why it has taken so long for this information to come forth.
Osama bin Laden, al-Queida, and all of the other terror groups have been in existence and operating for a long time before the Twin Towers collapsed.
If the was ever a time when believers in the true G-d needed to put their trust in Him and His divine plan, it is now… Surely, these are the last days we are now living in…
March 10, 2002 – When David Ben-Gurion was Prime Minister of the Nation of Israel, his Declaration of Independence and plea for peace was countered with six nations attacking - so Israel was forced to defend herself.
As the Suez Canal was closed and terrorists flowed across their borders, Ben-Gurion initiated the 1956 attack on Egypt. For this, his actions were equated to the Soviet crushing of the Hungarian uprising.
The same was said of Levi Eshkol in 1967, Golda Meir in 1973, and Menachem Begin in 1982. As the battle against terrorism intensified between each of Israel’s official wars, she was and is constantly criticized.
The past decade has seen Rabin, Peres, Netanyahu, Barak and now Ariel Sharon be labeled the “deterrents to peace”.
I can’t but help to marvel that after nearly a year and a half of Intafadah, along with the death, destruction and intense diplomatic pressure, Sharon has been forced into defending the civilian populace of this tiny nation.
Sadly, as time moves on, Israel’s leadership and motives are continually challenged and falsely labeled – as the opposition’s forces run unchecked, practically amok.
If there are people today calling Sharon a deterrent to peace, there are not enough adjectives and nouns available to describe what Yasser Arafat is - in regards to the same comparison.
The Apostle Paul’s exhortation to “follow peace with all men” in Hebrews 12:14, has always been Israel’s goal, but to date her neighbors have not allowed this – so she continues to depend on what G-d has given…
