ISRAEL UPDATEMay 19, 2002 - The plane of Dura, the location of the great statue of Nebuchadnezzar - means a walled place - a place where people were gathered together and forced to bow down, or die.
Today the world through media misrepresentation, financial support of terrorists, and a false church system - denies the literal interpretation of the Bible and G-d's plan for the nation of Israel.
Notice the cheap price of Jewish life. Iraq pays $25,000 to the family of a suicide bomber, Saudi Arabian pays $5,300, the United Arab Emirates $500, " Qatar $500 - all of this money is used to intensify the war against Israel.
Arafat's Fatah budget has been $45 million a month, plus $9 million a month from the European Union, not to mention the logistical support of Iran and Syria.
As the false image of Palestinian nationalism is raised, Israel is being surrounded and confined by enemies who say they want peace.
America is starting to feel the pressure to remove support from Israel. We face the consequences of punitive measures from the nations controlled by religion of "love and tolerance”.
Yet as we see this enclosing of Israel in every possible manifestation, we know G-d in His own timing will gather all the nations of the world to the plains of Jezreel, where He will deal with the entities that have scattered His people and divided His land.
After this, Israel and the world will not know enclosure, but will enjoy the benefits of the Messianic Reign, of which there will be no and. I challenge all who read this article… do not bow down to the false G-d of Palestinian nationalism.
May 19, 2002 - How do we know if the Bible should be interpreted as literal or allegorical - or if we can believe that it's prophecies are for today?
While there are many passages of Scripture that can shed light on this issue, one of my personal favorites is found in Daniel 11:41, where it states "He [Antichrist] shall enter also into the glorious land. . . “
Some translators render this as the "beautiful land", but in either case it describes to us a panoramic view of the end times.
Napoleon and Mark Twain visited Israel during the time when it was a bleak, barren land, sparsely populated and full of malaria-infested swamps: they decried the tragic condition!
In fact, many Bible scholars in the previous centuries were of the skeptical mindset that the land would see neither prosperity nor the people return.
He [Anti-Christ] comes into a land just the opposite, as the land is seen as beautiful and prosperous, not barren and dead. So we can see these prophecies as the future - not the past.
Most allegorists, or other people that don't hold to Bible prophecy, say all of these prophecies were completed by no later that than the third century.
But since the scenario describes an Israel that is glorious and beautiful, we know that this phenomenon has not been possible until the 20th century.
The beauty of G-d's Word is that history and prophecy join together, especially in the modern nation of Israel - letting us know that we are to take the Bible scriptures literally.
To be continued. . .
