ISRAEL UPDATEFebruary 16, 2003 - As I write this article, the world stands on the brink of a nuclear holocaust, but it also faces the threat of random terrorist attacks in practically every civilized nation on the planet.
While negotiations continue, Syria and the Commonwealth of Independent States (12 of the 15 republics of the former Soviet Union) are restoring their diplomatic ties.
This is a huge consideration when we understand that these two nations are agreeing to become more involved in the crises of other countries.
Ezekiel 38:10 clearly states, “Thus saith the L-rd G-D; it shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought…”
The twisted thinking of the Syrians caused them to move in and occupy Lebanon in 1975, to “stabilize” the region. To accomplish this, they utilized great amounts of various supplies from none other than the U.S.S.R.
It is not beyond possibility to believe that the evil thought would be for Syria and the C.I.S. to invade Israel to “correct” the Palestinian problem. They could very well use the justification that the Coalition Forces did the same thing to Iraq to stop Saddam Hussein.
Hussein had nuclear capabilities that were destroyed by Israel in 1981, and again in 1991 by Coalition Forces. Today is no different, as the Bear of the North is waking up after hibernation, and Syria is ready to join in the march to Jerusalem. G-d’s prophetic truth continues in accuracy and clarity.
February 16, 2003 – The news reports tell us the faithful are flocking to a beautiful hillside in Australia – paying homage to a site where the Virgin Mary is said to be manifesting.
Of those interviewed, many say that this phenomenon is occurring because the “blessed” Mother wants to warn the world of impending danger and the threat of war.
But is this type of materialization a G-dly visitation, or is it a demonic manifestation from Satan, who disguises himself as an “angel of light”?
Truthfully, Jesus spent the 24th and 25th chapters of the book of Matthew describing both the personality and events that would precede His return for the Church.
So it stands to reason that if we are to evaluate what people are calling G-dly or biblical, then we must compare these events with the Bible.
As Jesus trained his disciples, He explained a truth: “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.” John 16:13
Sightings, apparitions, and manifestations must give all of the glory to the G-dhead – as they complement, rather than compete. The truth is, unless these phenomenons accomplish just that, then they are like false prophets sent from a source other than G-d. Therefore, they are for deception, not direction…
