ISRAEL UPDATEFebruary 23, 2003 - There are many Arab / Islamic countries that are making what has been called "friendly" overtures to the United States, as our leaders attempt to rally support for an incursion against Iraq.
And… with these "friendly" overtures, comes the assumption that because these Islamic nations have been called moderate - America will be safe. This is complete falsehood, and here is why…
We must realize that all moderate Muslims, as well as extremists, will receive the call for Jihad (Holy War). With that call comes a decision all Muslims must make, join the cause, or reject the call and be considered an infidel by all of Islam.
How far can these "friendly" overtures continue before the undercurrent of extremism in these countries spills into the streets of Cairo, Amman, Ankara, and Islamabad?
Part of the problem of this scenario is that in the past we have made a poor choice of allegiances in the Middle East - such as Iraq and Iran - both which have gone horribly awry in the past two decades.
Isaiah 28:15 describes America's current foreign policy: "Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves.”
We can only pray that our leaders will hear from G-d and make the right decisions – otherwise it is quite possible 9-11 will only be the beginning of sorrows.
February 23, 2003 - The Vatican has been host to religious leaders from many liberal Christian denominations, as well as several other religions, including Buddhism, Islam, Shintoism, Zoroastrianism, and Jainism, to name a few.
As they gather together, they are brainstorming on ways to integrate all faiths - in order to harmonize the world into unity and peace.
Sadly, as the spirit of antichrist continues to blend all their voices into a universal religion, those attempting to bring all this together will one day be devastated, as the true spirit of the evil one is manifested.
The Apostle Paul wrote of the Antichrist, “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called G-d, or that is worshipped; so that he as G-d sitteth in the temple of G-d, shewing himself that he is G-d." II Thessalonians 2:4
All things will be gathered together and put under foot of this brutal dictator, for this evil being will demand that all obeisance be given unto him exclusively.
While the world continues in its man-made efforts to unify, we already know what will happen. We also know that this evil one will be consumed, as Paul tells us in II Thessalonians 2:8: “And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the L-rd shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:”
Even so come L-rd Jesus.
