ISRAEL UPDATEApril 13, 2003 - Prior to this last week, no one had ever heard of Ali Alna’amani - but he was burned into the hearts of Coalition Forces when he killed four U.S. servicemen in a suicide bombing at a roadside checkpoint.
But the story doesn't end there, because if you go to the Palestinian city of Jenin you will find his name on one of the city squares - it has been named for him – due to his "heroic" act of terror and aggression.
Not only has he been honored by the National Islamic Forces, i.e., terrorists, but also they will continue their blood drive in support of Iraqi forces.
Since these "refugee camps" are United Nations property and funded by the U.N. budget, none of these actions could have been done without their knowledge and approval. Very fast approval indeed!
So as the families and friends of four brave U.S. soldiers mourn their loss, they also honor the ultimate sacrifice these men made for freedom.
Yet the supporters of Islam refer to this suicide bomber as a Shahid (died for Allah), thereby causing his name to be imprinted on the minds of the anti-western Islamic world.
Obviously we're dealing with two different sets of values. These types of activities proliferate in an area under control of Arafat's thugs, along with the U.N. This tells us that their opposition is not just against Israel, but America as well.
It continues to become clear that we as Americans do not have as many friends as some think… and… the thought patterns of Islam are contrary to all we believe.
April 13, 2003 - There are many belief systems within Christianity that do not embrace a literal interpretation of the Bible as it relates to prophecy in the last days.
Many people believe that the majority of prophecy was fulfilled with the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem. In fact, there are some that believe all of prophecy was fulfilled with this event.
By adopting this belief, these people state that "abomination of desolation" spoken of in Matthew 24:15 has already transpired.
However, one is hard-pressed to embrace this for more than one reason, First, when Antiochus Epiphanies desecrated the Temple in Jerusalem, the Jews had already been driven from Jerusalem – they were only able to view the Holy City from a distance.
Second, Jesus clearly tells us in Matthew 24:14-15 that this abomination will be viewed by many people, "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:).”
Antiochus Epiphanies did an act of desecrating the Temple, but the coming evil one is referred to as the abomination of desolation standing in the Temple, not just physically, but spiritually as well – and he will demand that all worship him.
While Antiochus Epiphanies gives us a glimpse of what is to come, the Matthew passage defines that the evil one will be seen in the Temple and his desecration will be both physical and spiritual.
Once again, we see that G-d's word interprets itself - if we will only allow it to be so.
