ISRAEL UPDATEApril 27, 2003 - The recent reports of Russian, Syrian, French and German support of Saddam Hussein and his war effort, speak to us of more than just supporting the enemies of Israel and America.
From a Biblical standpoint, they show us just how quickly the vision of the 10 toes, describing the blending of iron and clay, is coming together – prophesied in Daniel 2:42.
European industry (iron) is not only dependent on Arab oil (clay); they mutually exist to present a threat to Western ideals, along with Judeo-Christian ethics and beliefs.
The Islamic religion of the Middle East continues to bolster Europe and spew its anti-Israel venom. Europe, the continent that was known as a stronghold of Christianity and revival, is now becoming more anti-American, thus becoming more anti-Christian.
So don't be surprised as you watch history unfold in the coming days and weeks, to see hatred and resentment for America come not just from the Fertile Crescent, but from Europe as well.
Jesus said "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved." Matthew 10:22
You can read this and see it in a negative way, or you can look at these events in the light of prophetic fulfillment. Just rest in the fact that G-d is in control, and His word is continuing to prove to be relevant, accurate and inspired. . . That's a fact you can count on!
April 27, 2003 - My library has a wide variety of books relating to the turmoil in the Middle East, especially in regards to Israel.
The books are authored by Muslims, Jews and Christians; and also by Americans, Israelis, and Arabs as well. So I have come to learn how people feel and think. Yet, as I have read through these books that are of both liberal and conservative belief systems, I find one flaw in most people's thinking.
Although all of these authors write with passion and most with a broad information base and documentation, one fact is left out - that fact being that G-d's word is nowhere to be found. . .
Thus the Palestinian can claim to be an heir of the land, supposedly displaced by the Israelis. Meanwhile, the Israelis can say in the name of peace, let’s share the land. The bottom line is… G-d's word is the defining voice to settle the conflict.
It was Yahweh who promised the land of Israel to Abraham in Genesis 15:7. This same G-d promised to return a scattered remnant to this same land as said in Jeremiah 31:10. This was after dealing with them for their sins. Jeremiah 30:11
G-d also promised a land of beauty, restoration and the rebuilding of a ruined place, calling for her, making her places like Eden. Ezekiel 36:34-36
I could go on and on with many passages, but suffice it to say, G-d has a plan for the nation of Israel. The fact is that He is bound to keep His covenant, as He magnifies His word above His name. Psalms 138:2
