ISRAEL UPDATE

June 15, 2003 - I was not surprised to see men like Yitzhak Rabin, Shimon Peres, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Ehud Barak make huge concessions with the Palestinians to attain peace.

But the recent events of May and June have brought shock, even dismay, as Ariel Sharon, the long-time hardliner, appears to be giving in to the demands of the Road Map plan for peace.

However, only those in the inner circles will ever know just how much pressure and how many demands have been placed on Prime Minister Sharon - behind closed doors.

And just as each of his predecessors “gave” at the signing of the other accords, Israeli leaders want to appease the United States in order to keep their friendship and support.

This latest trend of events truly sheds much light on where we are prophetically - as the rugged warriors of a generation past - who fought the bloody, deadly battles of counter-terrorism - acquiesce in the name of peace.

To reach the point of covenants signed with many as prophesied in Daniel 9:27… will usher in the temporary rule and reign of the Antichrist.  These events must happen, as well as the failure of the Road Map for peace.

The tragedy and the triumph that lies ahead for Israel will be the opposite for her enemies.  First their “triumph”, then their tragedy, as G-d deals with them.

The Israelis desire for peace at any price is definitely fitting into G-d's prophetic plan. . .

June 15, 2003 - One of Mohammed’s laws is not to harm the locust, for they believe these insects are part G-d's divine army of justice.

Locusts are referred to throughout Scripture, as they usher in G-d's judgment on nations that refuse to do G-d's will – such as in the first chapter of Joel.

G-d has used the animal kingdom many times… a speaking donkey warning a belligerent prophet in Numbers 22:30, 31… fiery serpents in the camp in Numbers 21:8… the lion killing the prophet that did not heed the words of the L-rd , I Kings 13:20-25… and preparing a great fish to collect the reluctant prophet in Jonah 1:17.

When we read the Bible, we find numerous references where G-d also used earthly elements to destroy sinful man. The Great Flood - Genesis 7:20-24.  Raining fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah as told in Genesis 19:24.  And He opened the gates of the rivers to take down the supposedly on impregnable walls of Nineveh, Nahum 2:8.

The truth of the matter is that the G-d who sits on the throne can and will use all of these tools - and more - during the Great Tribulation, to rid of the world of sin.

When we review the historical consistency of animals and elements being used by G-d as tools to accomplish His will – we realize that unless we are a believer - the future is bleak indeed for the godless.

G-d is not willing that any should perish, but that all come to repentance - if you haven't yet asked Jesus into your heart – do it today.
