ISRAEL UPDATEJuly 18, 2004 – Recently, a newspaper covering the Middle East published an article about the self destruction of Saudi Arabia. This oil-rich kingdom boasts that it is a moderate nation, yet its ruling policies are that of Wahhabism, an ultra-extreme form of Islam.
We have seen Saudi soil and its population having to deal with terrorism, similar to Israel and the United States. Could we say, “Turnabout is fair play,” or would it be better stated to say, whatsoever a man (or nation) soweth, that shall he (or they) also reap.” Galatians 6:7-10. You be the judge. . .
The “moderate” nation of Saudi Arabia is moderate only in presentation – behind the scenes; they have taken very good care of Yasser Arafat, the PLO, and other extremists groups.
Their PLO connection has guaranteed the deadly attacks of terrorism to be able to happen on every continent of the world, as Arafat has trained terrorist operatives from at least 30 other countries.
Their support of Arafat's Palestinians has also guaranteed the death and persecution of Christians and Jews alike - and has caused financial and political destabilization in the entire region.
As a free world tries to build a wall of defense, the Saudi government's policies and procedures leave a gaping hole in that wall - as money and arms flow to those bent on the destruction of Israel and United States. They are just now reaping some of the seeds of violence and destruction that they have sown - according to G-d's holy word. . .
July 18, 2004 - We find another strong fact in the story of a lunatic healed in Matthew chapter 17, verses 14-21 that will help us to understand the importance of proper discernment.
In our July 4, 2004 article, we touched on the demonic influence over this young man's life, most likely due to occult worship and incantations. Nevertheless, can we also see the dangers of other elements that can be just as spiritually blinding, that lead to Satanic control over the lives of people.
Verse 15 states that the lunatic fell into the fire and water often, obviously his ability to judge and control his reflexes were gone.
While not every unbeliever is a demon possessed, the control of the evil one is manifest through false doctrines and scriptural misinterpretations.
Self realization, pantheism, Gnosticism, and paganism show up in several forms, even in the Church. The teaching of becoming a god through incantations is one of the many dangerous doctrines prevalent in this day and time.
While people are not necessarily flown into fires, ponds or lakes in a literal sense, the false teachings of our present day are giving people the wrong concept of G-d, and even more damaging is the wrong concept of themselves as well.
Demonic control caused the lunatic to have clouded judgment. False teachings do the same - only the Word of G-d breaks through the clouds to allow the sun to shine into men's hearts.
