ISRAEL UPDATE

November 28, 2004 - Yasser Arafat is dead and now the Palestinian contingency is searching for a new leader to head up this group that is working to formulate an independent state.

The world was finally starting to acknowledge Arafat for what and who he was, a terrorist and a murderer.

So what now?  Will the fiery rhetoric that initiated riots be replaced by a quieter, civil tone to seduce more people?

Will the fatigues and keffiyeh (headdress) be replaced by a suit and tie to appear more palatable to the viewing audience?  The answer to these questions is a more than likely, yes!

However, if this new marketing approach is adopted, rest assured of one fact… the European Union, United Nations, the World Council of Churches, and the Islamic nations of the world will still seek the eradication of the Jewish State.

One of the greatest dangers facing Israel today is the replacement of Arafat.  Generally, most of the world is uninformed, and they will accept the “new Arafat,” not knowing the truth behind the Palestinian nationalistic movement.

If former President Jimmy Carter could take a thug like Arafat under his tutelage and make him so appealing, how much more can now be accomplished with the grandfather of terrorists removed, and the senses of the people numbed?  The possibilities are both endless and frightening…

November 28, 2004 - When G-d placed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden; they were given permission to eat of all the trees in that Paradise, except for the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil.  Genesis 2:17

However, human nature says to cross the fence and see what is on the other side, even when there are No Trespassing signs posted in plain view.  We as humans always will push our limits right to the edge and beyond to see just how far we can go without overstepping our bounds.  Then after doing so, give every excuse under the sun why we did.

That is why G-d provided a second tree in church theology, the Cross that Jesus would die on, thus atoning for the sins of the world.

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”  Galatians 3:13-14

Because of that cursed tree, we who choose the power of the Cross (cursed tree) are made partakers of the tree of life in the new and everlasting paradise, Heaven.

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of G-d.”  Revelation 2:7

Whereas the first Adam was tested in a perfect world and failed, the second Adam lived a sinless life in an imperfect, sinful world.  By dying on that cursed tree, He gave salvation to all who call upon the name of Jesus.  This gives all believers access not just to the throne of G-d, but also to Heaven, forever and ever.
