ISRAEL UPDATEDecember 5, 2004 - Many people are happy at the re-election of George W. Bush because they feel the prospects for America are very good for the next four years.
There has been much excitement over the reaffirmation of Judeo-Christian values and Biblical principles that were the issues for many voters.
There are many that have wrapped themselves in a “security blanket,” knowing the President's stand on same-sex marriage, abortion, and his support of faith-based initiatives.
Yet there is one fork in the road that our nations' leaders are bearing down upon at full speed… and they do not seem to plan to stop the establishment of a Palestinian state… at Israel's expense, of course.
The Scriptures are chock full of passages that declare G-d's intentions toward His favored people, along with that special piece of real estate called Israel.
Joel 3:2 clearly tells us that G-d will personally address the nations of the world for His heritage Israel. Which nations? G-d says those that have scattered His people and parted His land.
It is extremely important for our country' leaders to take the right stand on moral issues. Let us also understand that the dividing and carving up of Israel's geography is in fact a moral issue, as well as theological.
If not careful, our leaders will cut the flow of G-d's blessing on our nation should we sacrifice Israel for the sake of keeping the oil flowing. Pray that our leaders do all that is right in G-d's eyes.
December 5, 2004 - If you have been watching Christian television, you more than likely have heard the news… they have another red heifer that is ready to usher in the building of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem.
However, if you have followed this Christian media boondoggle, you can count back several times to where they have had other red heifers ready to do the same thing.
The danger with this sensational presentation is that it had takes away from the reality of what G-d is going to do.
Will there be a red heifer, perfect and spotless, and will it be used in connection with the sacrificial system of the Jewish Temple? Absolutely, however, when we start focusing on specific events, animals, etc., we preempt the core event of end time studies, the Rapture of the Church.
Jesus never told His disciples to watch for the perfect cow, but he did continually reiterate the need to be ready and actively watching for this wonderful event.
We must realize the key element we are looking and longing for is that time when Jesus splits the clouds and takes the Church to Heaven to be with Him forever. John 14:1-4
This type of theological distraction causes us to look for the Antichrist, not the Christ. It also causes us to worry and fret over which ten nations will make up the federation of Daniel 7:24. Our real need is to focus on the exhortations that Peter, James, John, and Paul gave us about preparing our lives for Jesus… you will know the rest when the time is right.
To be continued…
