ISRAEL UPDATE

January 9, 2005 - The Palestinian Liberation Organization was founded, by definition, as a Marxist-Leninist entity, but they quietly renounced that statement with the fall of the Iron Curtain.

This is perhaps this is what is so confusing about some of the nations that support the PLO cause - such as Iran and Saudi Arabia – both are extreme fundamentalists in the observance of Islam.

Not only did these nations pour billions of dollars into this organization of murderers, they boldly declared their support for them, while attempting to destroy Israel in the process.

The PLO was formed under the “umbrella” of godless communism, to enable them to receive much support from the Soviet Union.  However, at the same time, many anti-Islamic practices such as operating gambling casinos were allowed during Arafat’s reign.

Why would Saudi Arabia, who beheads people for converting to other religions such as Christianity… and decry gambling, as a sinful practice of decadent Western society… tolerates such gross violations?

The answer to that is very simple, because of the PLO's desire to eliminate the nation of Israel.

This hypocrisy is but one more example of just how far the rules are stretched to accommodate the enemies of Israel… while the great majority of people, believers included, are unaware of the true nature of the issues and problems in the Middle East…

January 9, 2005 - As we read the Scriptures, we see clear-cut definitive proof that establishes Jesus living and congregating in the local community.  These same Scriptures refute His traveling to other spiritual leaders for instruction.

Note Matthew 13:55, “Is not this the carpenter's son?  is not his mother called Mary, and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?”  The key part of this text defines Jesus as the carpenter's son, indicating his work as an apprentice starting in his teen years.

Mark 6:3-4 is even more definitive, as Jesus is now called the carpenter, and calls his family into proximity…  “Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon?  And are not his sisters here with us?  And they were offended at him.  But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.”

Had Jesus been gone sitting at the feet of others. . .
One, he would not be easily recognized after an 18 year absence, and would not have completed his apprenticeship.

Two, even more important is the fact that as He entered the synagogue in the local area to teach, He had finished His required studies.

Without completing your Ph.D. in sarcasm, cynicism, and skepticism, simply read these passages with an open heart and the illumination of the Holy Spirit - you will then perceive the truth.

A classic bumper sticker says, “Wise men still seek Him.”  If you will approach G-d's word humbly, seeking to learn more, the possibilities are endless - especially if you do not have the “benefit” of today’s skeptical scholars…

To be continued…
