ISRAEL UPDATEJanuary 30, 2005 - Many of our nation's political leaders are currently pressuring Israel to relinquish the Golan Heights to Syria as a token of peace.
Recently, Syria that has moved all types of missiles into southern parts of their country, thereby threatening the Israeli civilian population. They are also allowing insurgents to use their borders as a staging area to “quietly” move into Iraq to fight against our soldiers.
While this double standard is nothing new as the world's nations continue to strangle the Jewish state into submission… it is still unsettling at best.
If Syria desires peace and stability, then why do their actions attempt to destabilize the two nations of the region that are the most volatile?
Somehow, the essence of true peace is lost in a religious zeal of fundamentalist Islam. The wrongly directed intentions of nations, such as America, are trying to resolve the issue incorrectly.
The prophet Zechariah wrote of the destruction of all nations coming against Israel. He also wrote about the pouring out of grace and supplication upon the Hebrews. Zechariah 12:9-10
Syria is but one of the nations that is included in the “peace process” that seeks the destruction of both Israel and the United States. If we as a nation continue to negotiate with this most notorious of rogue nations, we will feel the wrath of G-d as we strengthen the enemies of His covenant land.
January 30, 2005 - Since the re-election of George W. Bush this past November, we have ceased to hear about the religious right and its fundamentalist zeal. We rarely hear a word about its agenda, or even its fanatic approach to serving G-d – as it has aligned itself with the conservative politics of our country.
It is interesting that with both elections of Bill Clinton and the attempts of Al Gore and John Kerry to reach the same position – there were no liberal religious participants.
Did the Protestant adherents of the Left, along with advocates of ordaining gays and lesbian ministers, pro-choice drumbeaters, and a host of other liberal beliefs donate time, money, and energy to the cause of defeating conservative Christian values?
The answer obviously is yes. After watching, listening, and reading their material, is also safe to say… by definition, some did it with more than a tone of fanaticism.
Of course, with the election of Bill Clinton by these people, the media never said a word about the left-wing liberal religious views. It only addressees conservative views when the right wing wins.
Truthfully, what we' are seeing is a trend that shows us prophetic reality. The true church and the apostate Church being divided over cardinal doctrines. Revelation 17:3-7
The question is not is there zeal in the Conservative movement, but only why does it draw attention - when the others openly boast about their status as an activist of the religious Left…
