ISRAEL UPDATEJune 12, 2005 - When members of the 55th Parachute Brigade stood in front of the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem - Israel as a nation, Judaism at large, and a big cross section of Christianity – all wept and rejoiced.
A unified Jerusalem under Jewish control, a plan designed by G-d, embraced by believers, and enjoyed by all, was now a reality.
It was during this momentous occasion, Moshe Dayan declared, “We have returned to Jerusalem, never to depart again.”
However, even as this is written, the Bush administration and the terrorist organizations, referred to as Palestinian nationalists, are preparing to carve up G-d's covenant land like a Thanksgiving turkey.
This “contiguous plan” will be from Ramallah to Gaza. This plan will literally divide Israel once again. This will cause this tiny nation to have indefensible borders.
This is not to criticize our President openly for this policy, but this puts the United States directly in opposition to G-d in this matter. All of us need to pray as never before for our nation.
Joel chapter 3 makes it very clear what will happen to nations that divide G-d's land and scatter His people. America is not exempt from this…in fact she is even more accountable because of continual support of Israel's enemies - who seek to destroy the Jews.
June 12, 2005 – Do Christian supporters of Israel have ill feelings toward the Palestinians? Is this part of the cause of problems in the Middle East?
Those that support Israel understand better than most the true dilemma regarding the Palestinian desire for statehood…
First, a large group of Palestinians live within Israel's borders that are supportive of radical Islamic terror groups. These groups live to destroy the Jewish nation.
Second, two Christian mindsets are within the Palestinian issue, those who support and promote the destruction of Israel - they are complying with these terror groups under the guise of Christianity. Then there are there those Christians who have been driven from their homes and churches, then persecuted by the Palestinian nationalistic movements.
Is it that we hate the Palestinians? Absolutely not. However, the fear is that the continual relinquishing of land by Israel will cause them to be surrounded and cut off by a group of people - the biggest majority who want to see Israel destroyed. It is always easy to take the warm, fuzzy approach to the problem in Israel - by criticizing a government trying desperately to live in peace with people who do not live up to their agreements.
There are many churches of that support the giving up of land by Israel. However, the true problem lies in the Islamic hatred of Christianity, Judaism, America, and Israel. Palestinian or not, Christians here have never been anything but persecuted, tortured and murdered under Islam. That is not Israel's fault, nor Christian Zionism.
