ISRAEL UPDATEJuly 17, 2005 – At this time, Great Britain’s civilian population is no safer from the threat of fanatical Islam than their own troops who are fighting terrorism in the Middle East.
However, as England counts her dead and wounded, looking for ways to stop further attacks and recover from the shock, a most provocative and powerful question is begging to be answered…
The United Kingdom is far and away one of the friendliest nations to the Arab world, and they are quite accommodating to Islam and its practices. So why did they feel the terrible sting of death and pain on their own soil?
Muslim apologists will say that the fanatic element of Islam is only about ten percent of its members. However, this religion has approximately one billion followers. Doing the math, that’s ONE HUNDRED MILLION fanatics. This is a staggering number, definitely sobering to say the least. So who is really safe?
This being the extreme side, how much “gap” is there between them and the so-called moderates? No doubt, that “gap” number is also quite large…
It is ironic that England has so warmly embraced Islam, and like America, has fallen prey to its extremist side – meanwhile, they both demand that the nation of Israel concede land for peace to these same type of people…
Obviously, it wasn’t the moderates that carried out this act. However, follow the news on the TV, radio, or Internet, and watch to see how many moderates denounce this heinous act. They won’t, either because they fear reprisal, or they subconsciously support these acts….
July 17, 2005 – There was a time when tattoos were only seen on merchant marines, armed forces veterans, bikers, gang members, and those who had been in prison.
However, the new trend has crossed most social and economic barriers, going from the drug of choice, gang affiliation, or tour of duty… to a more ancient approach. It is now considered a rite of passage in many circles, to receive a tattoo.
Today, more and more people are approaching tattooing, or skin art, from many ancient pagan practices and rituals. What does the Word of G-d have to say on the subject?
Exodus 20:4 tells us, “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:” Further, we are told in Leviticus 19:28, “Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the L-RD.”
Those who received tattoos prior to their commitment to Christ will not be held accountable. However, as we see so many willing to tolerate the painful process of tattooing, what could soon follow?
Due to the pain inflicted by this process, normally it is done in several stages before it is completed. In contrast, how easy might it be to receive the Mark of the Beast?
A surgically implanted chip the size of a grain of rice will be practically painless, so it will not be a hard sell to most people. Compared to the pain of receiving a tattoo, it will be easy…
The trend of tattooing bodies to identify with ancient pagan practices – even by Christians – reveals yet another “chink in the armor.” We are closer than we realize to the Coming of our L-rd Jesus…
