ISRAEL UPDATE

August 21, 2005 – It would be wonderful if the world we live in, along with its inhabitants, would be like Hiram, king of Tyre. He was not a Jew, but he helped in the completion of the Temple in Jerusalem.

Today, even in what is called the Church, unfortunately we have more people that are like Balaam, and more nations and organizations like Biblical Edom…

How subtle was Balaam, not pronouncing a curse upon the children of Israel. He instead told Israel’s enemies how to have her bring judgment upon herself. (Numbers 22:23-24)

This sounds all too much like American policy toward Israel. We have not as yet attacked the Jewish nation; however, we are creating a huge catastrophe within their borders by pressing them to give up their G-d-given land.

Not only does this force Israel into a very precarious situation and position – cutting their land into pieces - this places several areas where their enemies are literally within eyesight.

The Quartet Plan, the European Union, the World Council of Churches, the National Council of Churches, and the United Nations; all of these are projecting the spirit of Balaam.

Corporately and individually, they will all undoubtedly meet the same fate… facing an angry G-d… for smiting His people and dividing His land. (Joel 3:2b)

Truly, this is a trend that will not bring G-d’s blessing to the United States of America…

August 21, 2005 – It has been said that the decade of the sixties changed America forever. Those that took part in the decadence and upheaval of values would like everyone to believe that their movement and philosophy was unique and different.

However, we saw the same mentality during the French Revolution, and then again in England near the end of the 19th Century.

Since the days of Noah, and Sodom and Gomorrah, man has lived with a basic mindset and desire for self gratification, excessive pleasure, violence, and rebellion.

The drug culture and occult practices were hardly new, as we have been warned in the Scriptures. To name few: I Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21, Ephesians 5:5, I Timothy 1:9, and Revelation 22:8…

The 60’s culture was not new, nor did it just spring up overnight. There were many “seeds” planted during the decades of the 40’s and 50’s that bore their rotten fruit.

While the boasters and braggarts of this rebellious generation are now lawyers, judges, and professionals – instead of flower children or hippies – this supposed distinction is nothing more than the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Jesus said, “For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (Matthew 24:38-39 KJV) Solomon tells us, “… there is no new thing under the sun.” (Ecc 1:9b KJV)

Like all previous generations, G-d will judge this one as well, unless repentance comes.

To be continued…
