ISRAEL UPDATE

 

January 8, 2006 – What was once deemed the Palestinian Autonomous region, the area controlled by Mahmoud Abbas and his Parliament in theory, can now be called the “Abbas Abyss.”

Terror groups Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and Fatah run wild, disregarding their leaders, the cause for peace and Israeli civilian life.   The wisdom of man exalting itself against G-d’s plan has taken on a whole new demeanor. 

 Once radical terror groups operated at random under the guise of Palestinian Nationalism, they are now radical terror groups operating in direct opposition to any peace agreements, destabilizing the region and bringing the world to the brink of full-scale war.

 Abbas came after Arafat and was reported to be the one that would hold this whole operation together but like his predecessor, Yassir Arafat, he is unable.

 As 2006 begins, keep an eye on Gaza and Judea Samaria, i.e. West Bank, because terrorism is going to crush nationalism and these groups will follow the instructions from cities such as Tehran, Damascus and Mecca not from the Palestinian Parliament.  This region is poised for full-scale war because western democracies told us this was the way to go.

  

January 8, 2006 – It is one thing to read the Bible then watch the news and follow current events and watch Bible prophecy being fulfilled right before your eyes.  However, it takes on a whole different perspective when you are in a position where you are personally part of something that has such Biblical implications.

 It is December 2000 and I have been invited to a dinner in Israel where the guest speaker was the Vatican’s representative to the Palestinians at the time.    During this time the man was asked what he meant by an “international Jerusalem” to which he finally in exasperation and anger explained without diplomacy, “What you all need to understand when I say an international Jerusalem we mean a Jerusalem under Arab control.” 

 Another Jewish tradition of Armilus (Anti Christ) states that “Armilus will come from Rome and make evil decrees against Israel.”

 I understand Luke 21:24 tells us that Jerusalem will be trodden under the foot of the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.  We also can read of an evil covenant established by the Anti Christ ushering in the Great Tribulation and the beginning of Jacob’s trouble, Dan. 9:27; Jer. 30:7.

 The concept of Armilus coming from Rome far supersedes the Catholic Church, a one-world religious, economic system, i.e. the Gentile powers of this age. 

 Once again early Jewish theology as well as both Testaments are cemented together by a common thread.
