ISRAEL UPDATE

 January 29, 2006 – Recent polls indicate 95% of the Jewish population of Israel is ready to relinquish control of eastern Jerusalem in order to gain peace with the Palestinians.  This is an ironic concept since all other land concessions have left Israel  on the verge of war.

 More intriguing is that an international governing body will oversee this land concession and whenever this “universal concept” has been implemented, Israel has never faired well.

 It is safe to say that the U.N. peacekeeping troops have never been able to stabilize other troubled regions of the world, so should we expect Jerusalem to be any different?

 Two nations within a divided city as it’s capital, two different governments, revenue systems, police forces and two different religious/political ideologies indicate this universal governing body has their hands full!

 Biblically, this governing group, which will have a large representation of Gentiles, fits right into the prophetic panorama, Luke 21:24b, “And Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.”

 As this peace plan moves forward it will continue to prove the relevance of the scripture and it’s uncanny accuracy should strengthen the hearts of the believers!

 

 January 29, 2006 – One other teaching regarding Armilus (anti Christ) is that not only is he the false Messiah but that the children of Kedar (Arab nations) will follow after him.

 Undoubtedly, one of the supreme goals of Satan throughout time has been the total destruction of the Jewish people and Israel as a nation.  Recent history bears out the Arab nations have been bent on Israel’s destruction be it through wars on the battlefield, assisting terrorists or perverting the media manipulating Israel into a negative image. 

 Realistically, we must say that there is coming a day and we see the trend moving more and more toward the one last attempt to destroy modern Israel.

 Armilus will do what no one else has ever been able to do and that is to bring about a peace treaty between Israel and her primary enemies, that being Israel’s immediate neighbors, Syria, Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon, all that have either fought in Israel’s wars or supported the war of attrition through terror, plus the other Islamic nations.

 How ironic that the undoing of the world and the beginning of G-d’s wrath being poured out on the world will come under the guise of a peace treaty.

 These is an old saying that states, “Sin will cause you to do more than you planned on and will make you pay more than you thought you would.”

 In the case of the nations of the world regarding Israel, we will see this happen and yet we know G-d’s covenant and His people will remain intact and His word remains unchanged.
