ISRAEL UPDATE
March 5, 2006 – The United Arab Emirates is by far the most westernized of the Persian Gulf nations and tentatively will allow U.S. warships and planes to use their ports and bases.
It is of vital U.S. interest to have access to these facilities especially when they are so close to the nation of Iran. However, when it comes to what our nation’s leaders have called “the war on terror” the use of this nation’s facilities leaves one serious question to be answered. If this nation was friendly and supportive of Osama bin Laden and al Qeida prior to 9-11 and has not changed their stance regarding this issue, can we trust them?
While they do not demonstrate the radical protestors filling the streets of Tehran nor the hard-line Wahabi Islamic rule of Saudi Arabia, they are still supporting terrorist activities around the world.
One can’t help but look at the position we as a nation have placed Israel in negotiating with terrorists and giving up land and see a strong parallel. We are now befriending those in intimate ways that in reality cannot be trusted and this can only lead to results that are more tragic. If they are anti Israel, they are also anti America.
March 5, 2006 – One Bible College professor I had continually debunked the idea of a modern international ID system and showed a coin minted during the time of Rome’s Caesars with the number six, six, six stamped on it. He maintained only those that carried the coin at that time could buy or sell and without the coin you could do nothing.
Of course, new legislation passed this past month in England means that within two years people renewing or applying for passports will be required to have an ID card costing 93 pounds for both documents. It should also be realized as Europe’s national borders have been reduced to nothing and the institution of the Euro as the only currency of the continent; one cannot help but see the essence of the day we live in.
John was instructed to pen succinctly in Rev. 1:19, “Write the things which thou hast seen and the tings which are, and the things which shall be hereafter.”
Truthfully, world history bears the fact that there have been many times in history where these type of things were implemented especially with the rise of dictators. Thus the Roman government of John’s day was not the first but according to G-d’s word this next system rising up now will be the last and will be replaced by the glory, majesty, and power of the millennial reign of Jesus Christ so let us all say even so come L-rd Jesus.
