ISRAEL UPDATE

April 9, 2006 – In the 1960’s and 70’s we saw the assassination of Senator Robert Kennedy, the Munich Olympic Massacre, a wave of hijackings even the seizing of the American Embassy in Tehran. 

In the 1980’s we saw the murderous trend in Lebanon and Israel, the horror of the Taliban in Afghanistan, and our embassies and military barracks bombed, continually.

The 1990’s gave us the first attack on the World Trade Center and a horrendous wave of suicide bombings in Israel after the signing of the Oslo Peace Accord.

Journalists have not been safe, neither are people of other religions as persecution runs rampant in certain areas of the world.  We have The horror of 9-11 on American soil, the 2004 bombings in Spain, the 2005 London bus bombings and continued violence in Israel.

While there have been some women and children used in some of these instances the overwhelming majority of them have and are, carried out by Muslim men between the ages of 17-40 years of age.

It appears however, racial profiling is not an issue with these extremists; military, government or civilian, it matters not, as all are targets.  When these attacks occur, age is not a factor, nor is ethnic origin unless you are American or Israeli, because their sights are set on the destruction of these two nations primarily. 

Review this history in detail and you will see the cloak of Muslim Fundamentalism and nationalism is indeed a dangerous garment and there is no hesitation for these people to act.

 

April 9, 2006 – The last time I met Bishop M.A. Thomas was at a prayer breakfast for pastors and as we entered the room, my dad reintroduced me to this most remarkable man.

Before we were able to converse the flood of those that were well acquainted with the Bishop were greeting and speaking to him eliminating my own personal interaction.  Yet, Bishop Thomas so graciously wrapped his left arm around me while he used his right hand to greet others.

The power and presence of G-d was so real I didn’t want to move, I just stood there being infused by the Holy Spirit and realized he was blessing me although never directly speaking to me.

As I write this article, M.A. Thomas is in hiding as people seek to take his life, while his son Samuel sits in a jail falsely accused and arrested by people posing as government agents but having no authority.  I wish that there was a way for me to be a direct connection to Dr. Thomas and his son Samuel, but for now that is impossible.

If you read this article, please put these two great men of G-d on your continual prayer list and intercede for them.  I realize this type of thing is happening to Christians all over the world, but when it becomes personal it takes on a different meaning and we need to be a blessing to these special men.
