ISRAEL UPDATE

April 30, 2006 – It is no exaggeration to state that the situation in the Middle East is heating up as terror groups solidify their position in Israel.

Iran pushes the nuclear war to the brink and nations such as Jordan and Egypt could be swallowed up by fundamentalist Islam at any moment.

As Iraq is pushing toward what is being hailed a democratic election, don’t forget the leaders ready to assume this new role are pro Shi ite and not Sunni.

True, strong-arm dictator Saddam Hussein is gone but Iraq and Iran have been long time enemies not just because of religious differences but both pose a threat to each other geographically as well.

If under the guise of democracy a pro Shi ite government is installed, Iran gains through politics what was obtainable through war, i.e. the nation of Iraq.

True there are those utopian optimists that are stating a total U.S. withdrawal from Iraq gives the Sunnis and Shi ites a chance to resolve a conflict that has raged for more than a millennia.    However, with Syrian controlled Lebanon, Syria itself connected to Iran and Iran’s ruling religious party having support in the new Iraqi government don’t count on peaceful resolution but rather a blood bath.

If the Shi ites can completely control the three nations mentioned and start gaining control of Iraq no doubt Israel and the U.S. are in grave danger and it can be said two can’t walk together least they be in agreement and the war in Iraq proves it.

April 30, 2006 – Pagan worship is not new but then again the reality of the resurrection isn’t either.  But what about using modern commercials to accentuate the constant conflict between the one true G-d of Israel and all the others?

In Exodus7:8-12 As Moses’ serpent devoured those “produced” by Pharaoh’s magicians we can believe “he at the whole thing.”

If you read I Kings 18 the 450 prophets of Baal and the 400 prophets of the groves wailing, crying, even cutting themselves yet no response from their G-d and died.  Too bad there was no spiritual cell phone that didn’t drop calls.

Of course I Samuel 5:1-7 recounts the story of Dagon, the god of the Philistines, falling when the Ark of the Covenant was placed next to it, then falling a second time having his arms broken.  Pardon the pun but Dagon had fallen and couldn’t get up on his own.

Isa 59:1 tells us the reality of serving the living G-d, “Behold, the L-rd’s hand is not shortened that it cannot save, neither his ear heavy that it cannot hear.”  So knowing the reality of this principle we can celebrate the resurrection of Jesus everyday of our lives because His promise was, “Destroy this Temple and in three, days I’ll raise it up.”  John 2:19

The reality of G-d’s power and the resurrected Christ are continually showed strong throughout the Old Testament and we don’t really need anything else.  If that same spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwell in you it will quicken your mortal body today and on that day, raise it up eternally incorruptible.
