ISRAEL UPDATE

 May 7, 2006 – On April 16, 2006 the website of radical terror group Islamic Jihad’s leader promised, “Our work will be hindered but not stopped,” and they would be coming from Judea/Samaria.  On the same website a suicide bomber left a farewell message, “Many more brave bombers are on the way.”

 Sadly, on April 17, 2006 his words came to pass as he detonated a bomb killing nine Israelis and wounding forty.  This horrible act was declared to be a “legitimate self-defense” by the Hamas-led Parliament of the Palestinian State.  When this bomb was detonated, it was a mere two hours after the new Israeli Parliament had been sworn in.   Furthermore, it occurred during the week of the Jewish Passover, and one day before Christians would celebrate Easter.

 Can you imagine the world’s outcry if Israel would have attacked during a Muslim holiday or taken any reprisal after the newly formed terrorist Parliament was established?

 Apparently, the sacred days of Christianity and Judaism mean nothing to these radicals.  For now, the threats of violence come from Gaza and Judea/Samaria, the areas of land most recently given up by Israel in the name of peace. Obviously the plan has failed!

  

May 7, 2006 – “So many right-wing fundamental Christians and so few lions” read the bumper sticker of the car in front of me on a Phoenix freeway.  It is amazing to me just how intolerant the politically correct generation is when it comes to believers. 

 Of course, when the abominable animated series “Southpark” depicted Jesus Christ defecating on President George W. Bush, that blasphemy was completely acceptable for the airwaves. 

 Yet, the same show’s creators were not allowed to do any type of program relating to the Prophet Mohammed, lest it be offensive or cause controversy. 

 If the sentiments of the person displaying that bumper sticker on his car were true, then it shows the true hypocrisy and double standard of so many of this generation.

 Jesus once told His disciples, “They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth G-d service.”  John 16:2

 It seems that the further we progress as a nation in the arts, languages, science, and technology; the more we digress in the application of truth - and the hate for those that declare it.  In doing this our nation follows in the path of ancient Rome, Nazi Germany, and the communist and Islamic nations as well.
