ISRAEL UPDATE

 June 4, 2006 – On June 5, 1967 the tiny nation of Israel launched a preemptive strike against Egypt as they had massed men and material on the border threatening an all out invasion.  That same day Jordan attacked the city of Jerusalem after Israel’s repeated requests to stay out of the war.

 Thus, the saga of the concept of “occupied lands” was born out of those six fateful days in June.

 In the almost four decades preceding this June war of 1967 continual assault has come upon Israel either by military invasion, terrorist attacks, political censorship  and economic boycott.

 The reality is clearly stated first that Israel fought a defensive war not offensive and second, the land taken in 1967 entered areas established as Mandate Lands, not an established Palestinian nation.

 If we go back to the establishment of modern day Jordan, actual history tells us the original name of this country was the “Hashemite Kingdom of Palestine” due to it’s 65% Palestinian population.

 It’s always easy to get caught up in the heat of the moment and have our passion obscure the perspective but the truth tells a different story.

 Today, 97% of Palestinians are under the Palestinian Authority thus Israel cannot be considered as occupiers, but due to misunderstanding the title and stigma of “occupiers” they rail  against Israel mainly because people do not know the truth.

 

 June 4, 2006 – Modern media has barraged the public with Rock Operas, movies such as “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “Godspell,” “The Life of Brian,” “Tommy,” “The Last Temptation of Christ,” “The DaVinci Code,” and even a remake of “The Omen.”

 All of these attempts to remove the deity of Christ are considered to be artistic endeavors but are they really?

Besides the foundation of blasphemy that is apparent there is still one chord being struck that most people probably miss.

 Every one of the “artistic endeavors” and a host of others are nothing but anti establishment hog wash seeking to destroy the fundamental foundation of Christianity.

 It is like any type of propaganda; tell a lie long enough and loud enough and eventually, people will believe it.  However, attacking established truths through the path of cynicism does not negate the essence nor the reality of the scriptures. 

 Jesus never told us the gates of Hell would not raise their ugly heads but we are promised these gates of Hell would not prevail, Matt. 16:18.

 Obviously, the church has established traditions from time to time that were made man made but the attack is on the reality of the deity of Christ and these attacks are the spirit of anti Christ.
