ISRAEL UPDATE

July 16, 2006 – The names Gaza, Samaria, Judea, Golan Heights, even the Holy City of Jerusalem are on the lips of so many today in  controversy and the focus of establishing peace in the Middle East.

Of course, nothing has been mentioned about the Syrian ports of Tartus and Latakia, beehives of activity as Russia engineers work feverishly to establish warm water ports for their expansion into the Middle East.

Now Israeli intelligence states that more explosive material has been moved into Gaza since the August 2005 Israeli withdrawal totaling more than the previous 38 years of the Jewish state’s administration.

The West Bank (Judea/Samaria) is being flooded with al Qaeda propaganda and media influence rallying Palestinians to unite with them against the Zionist cause and to destroy them.

The average person could never comprehend that the leaders of Egypt, Israel and America, signing a Peace Accord at Camp David, could place Israel in such a precarious position.  However, this seemingly impossible scenario in Israel does speak volumes to believers that hold to the literal interpretation of the Scriptures of peace, hope and a reason to look forward with great anticipation.

Man’s ways although contrary to G-d is still taking shape just as G-d’s Word stated.  Even so come L-rd Jesus!

July 16, 2006 – When President Woodrow Wilson committed our nation to the conflict in Europe in World War I he had two basic goals.

First, he instructed General John “Black Jack” Pershing to keep U.S. forces as independent from our allies as possible, theory being, don’t confuse our issues with theirs.’

Second, he wanted to see the embodiment of the League of Nations negotiate through diplomacy and avoid any further conflicts.

However, the political quagmire of partisanism in our own country never allowed President Wilson to see full American participation.

Furthermore, in almost a century since then, the League of Nations, now the United Nations has only proven to delay conflicts until further notice, and be very selective in their sanctions and condemnations and only temporarily kept the peace rather than being peacemakers.

Every generation has its Utopian thinkers, their talking heads working for peace but from the threat of Germany in World War I, we saw the rise of Imperial Japan, Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany only to be superseded by Communism and now Communism and Islam still threaten what is left of independent nations in the world.

The world bureaucracy is defined as “rule of the desk” and until Jesus returns and rules with righteousness and equity, Isa. 11:4, the Utopian thinkers will have their dreams shattered and war will continue.

 To be continued…
