ISRAEL UPDATE
August 20, 2006 – Since Israel and Hezbollah have signed a peace treaty it will mean only one thing three steps backward for nations fighting the war on terror and several steps forward for radical Islam.
First, a cease fire will only allow Syria, Iran and yes, also Russia and other countries to pour copious amounts of weapons into Lebanon while Israel is bridled by the same watch dogs.
Second, it will define a double standard policy in the war on terror, America and Britain stating no negotiations with terrorists, Israel being forced to do the exact opposite.
A third aspect of a cease fire/peace treaty would indicate Iran being an easily negotiated power in the world, bullying many nations into a false sense of security.
If the free world is to fight and win the war on terror then it must be united in concept and implementation of its policies and procedures, not the U.S. and U.K. fighting terror one way and restraining Israel on the other hand, indicating a truly divided house.
Clamor for peace, prepare for destruction, just as the prophet wrote, “Oh my soul, my soul, I am pained in my very heart. My heart makes a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace. Because you have heard oh my soul, the sound of the trumpet; the alarm of war.” Jeremiah 4:19 NKJV
August 20, 2006 - As the events of this past weeks foiled attempts to blow up jet airliners departing from London by Islamic radicals, the irony of this scenario continues to defy logic.
America and Britain have made so many inroads to Islam and Arab culture and yet they seem to continually be confronted with the dangers of Islam’s religious fervor.
Britain and America continually defy the G-d of Judeo-Christian belief, bent on the one hand to sterilize all traces of its influence, secularizing these nations yet propping up Islam and Arab culture on the other, extolling its virtues.
Both countries have made alliances with nations such as Syria during the first Gulf War only to have the Syrian-Iranian threat destabilize the peace plan in Israel, and the instillation of a democratic system in Iraq.
Once the children of Israel entered the Promised Land they fell many times into the trap of making alliances with supposed friends seeking security and strength with disastrous results.
Instead of Lion and Lamb laying down together in peace the Lion is devouring the sacrificial lamb of mutual understanding as stated in Jeremiah 4:7,8 –
The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.
For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the L-RD is not turned back from us.
