ISRAEL UPDATE
January 14, 2007 – With 3000 dead U.S. Military Servicemen, scores of wounded, a nation becoming divided over the war in Iraq and no apparent end in sight, our nation’s leaders have now formed the Iraq study group to find a solution.
Baghdad, Tikrit, Fullajah and other Iraqi cities and villages have dominated the news off and on for more than a decade and a half. In the past years, however, names such as Tehran, Natanz, Arak and Laziuan are now on people’s lips and in their minds as it becomes evident that the storm on the horizon has been forming in Iran for a long time.
The nuclear program under construction in Iran that people such as retired Secretary of State Colin Powell told us not to worry about two years ago is now just a few years away from completion.
Our obsession with Saddam’s weapons of mass destruction that were removed and sent to neighboring nations prior to both Gulf wars received more attention then Iran which has more ties to terrorism and more capability of destruction and evil influences than Saddam ever dreamed of.
Interesting to note the nuclear program of Iran was not instituted by the radical Shia government now in control but rather by Shah Palvi, a loyal friend to the U.S.
Rest assured, while Iraq is involved in civil war, sectarian violence and foreign occupation the nuclear program in Iran isn’t just proverbially heating up but Israel and the U.S. are the primary targets.
January 14, 2007 – Solomon made multiple references to the principle “there is nothing new under the sun” as he outlined the emptiness of man without G-d in Ecclesiastes.
So is it any wonder that the European Union Parliament building erected in Strasbourg, France looks like the original Tower of Babel? Again, is it any wonder that man would go back to a doomed project conceived by man to first reach G-d in the heavens and then to control their world.
In light of Bible prophecy and the events of 9-11 and years following afterwards is it any wonder that the shift of global economic power is being removed from America and being rebuilt in Western Europe, just as the prophet Daniel predicted?
While we have seen so much emphasis on the physical Babylon in our nation’s two wars in Iraq the past two decades, the spiritual/economic Babylon is also emerging.
Global economy, one international identification system and a universal church all speak to us of the days in which we live, “the last days.” And while there is nothing “new under the sun,” the age old deceit of Satan is drawing the world into a web of deceit that no doubt will lead many people and nations to mass destruction not just through military weaponry but through finance, politics and religion as well.
To be continued…
