ISRAEL UPDATE
January 28, 2007 – The protestors march in the streets of Tehran angry that the prosperity of oil wealth has not been seen. However, financing for terror groups, Hezbollah and Hamas, is unlimited and a fortune is being spent on Iran’s nuclear proliferation program.
Add to this the unrest and dissatisfaction of the populace with Ahmadinejad, the Iranian parliament moving up Presidential elections by one year and supreme leader Khamanei dying with cancer the future truly looks unstable.
Former President Rafsanjani could wrest control of the government away from Ahmadinejad; this could prove to be very destabilizing for the nation.
The Ayatollah Hasbah-Yazdi is an adherent to the belief that the twelfth Imar, the Madhi, (Messiah), will arrive and lead Shi ite Islam to a worldwide triumph.
One would think with all of its own trouble Iran would not obsess with the likes of Israel and the United States and yet this nation aggressively seeks the destruction of both.
With all of the information telling us Iran wasn’t anything to worry about we see why the world is on the verge of destruction, the assessment of the world’s condition obviously is seen through rose colored glasses.
January 28, 2007 – In 1798 the ancient world of Islam met the modern age as a French Expeditioring Force led by General Napoleon Bonaparte temporarily conquered Egypt. Napoleon asserted to his recently conquered foes that he had come in the name of the French Republic under the principals of liberty and equality.
Of course France was coming to the end of a cycle of religious oppression, persecution, and even martyrdom that had been aimed at the non-Catholics of the country i.e. Protestants.
Of course, Islamic ideology was not far from that of the French concept, men that were true believers (in Allah) had liberty, women, and slaves. Unbelievers, however, did not experience the same liberty, it was only legal terminology.
Today we are headed down the same paths as that of France and many other nations that are seeking to eliminate all traces of Christianity.
Censorship of certain topics are imposed on Christian’s while every facet of the media can lampoon fundamental evangelical Christians without restraint.
Like the Egyptians of 1798 I’m sure the Islamic world looks on at the monumental hypocrisy of our nation as it seeks to find freedom and democracy for oppressed nations yet is so selective in its concept of liberty for those of us whose beliefs are different that so many others. Little wonder they balk at the idea of democracy.
