ISRAEL UPDATE

April 15, 2007 – This past week in Riyadh Saudi Arabia King Abdullah lamented over Iraqi brother fighting Iraqi brother and their blood flowing in the shadow of shameful illegitimate occupation of foreign powers and hateful sectarianism and possible civil war.

Abdullah asserts that outside forces determine the future of the region and only the flag of Arabism will be raised on Arab soil.

This typical rhetoric came at a two-day summit where Arab leaders formally revived the 2002 Saudi peace plan, where Arab states would recognize Israel in exchange for a Palestinian State, Israeli concessions – borders, Arab control of Jerusalem, Palestinian refugees reclaiming property inside of Israel.

To sweeten the pot of the peace plan Abdullah also has called for sanctions against Palestinian government to be lifted which would include radical terror group Hamas benefiting from the proposed action.

First the “moderate” Saudi government is using the same anti Israel rhetoric as it does against our nation and is derailing the peace process both in Israel and Iraq.

Second while Abdullah is placing pressure on our nation both in Iraq and in Israel he is rallying many radical terror factions in essence to take up arms.

Every Presidential administration since Jimmy Carter has depended on the moderate Saudi government for help yet all we get is oil while they chip away at everything we stand for and try to do as a nation.

April 15, 2007 – The President of our nation is at this time very controversial to say the least, but admits that in all of the swirling debate about his policy and procedure many people are violating his authority in a wrongful manner.

Purpose Driven Life and Church leader Rick Warren thought it necessary to befriend the anti-America nation of Syria’s President Bashar Assad and try to reaffirm what a positive influence he was in the troubled Middle East.

Now House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has joined suit in the same manner with the same leader again subverting our nation in a time of crisis.

Even Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was redirected by Israel Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, apparently pushing an agenda that was contrary to the President’s.

Like the President or not, approve of war in Iraq or not, support his immigration bill or not, or his stand on same sex marriage, there is a glaring violence and intrusion on authority.

The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 2:1-3 – “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

2  For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

3  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of G_d our Saviour;”

If he could do that then, how can our religious and political leaders justify these actions?  Biblically, they cannot and they are helping divide a hose against itself which cannot stand if this trend continues, i.e. hate the President, destroy the country!
