ISRAEL UPDATE

May 20, 2007 – This past week Secretary of State Rice met with the Arab Quartet, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirate, it appears the peace talks go on regardless.

The goal of Rice’s follow up with American and Palestinian leaders will set benchmarks that will smooth the path to peace talks.

My own personal observation is that this “smoothing the path to peace talks” will be a bumpy road indeed.

The path to peace has been less than the straight and narrow as the Palestinians regardless of Arafat or Abbas have never controlled the flow of weapons, explosives and supplies that terrorist use at will.

Again the path to peace has been nothing but a road of twists and turns where the Palestinians violated, ignored and been noncompliant with the overwhelming majority of guidelines established in Oslo I and every succeeding one since.

Finally the news reports have shown us the shattered, bullet riddled

bodies of so many that have felt the brunt force of terrorism and literally have to be stepped over either to treat or remove from the scene.

Of course the goal is to smooth out the path for peace but history has proved the world is only bulldozing the truth and facts into the ground and paving it with the shallow promises of Israel enemies that have only brought death, destruction and a continual state of war.

May 20, 2007 – Someone recently told me that church attendance in Australia is currently at an all time high, up sixty percent in some places.  Experts state the reason for the sharp increase is two fold.  First the Australian populace is watching both the rise and intensity of natural disasters.  Second, they are aware of the threat to their nation from fundamental Islamic terrorists thus their lifestyle has been adjusted accordingly.

Of course the past five plus years of U.S. history has shown us a phenomenal increase of natural disasters nationwide and apparently the events of 9-11 have fallen far from the minds of so many in our nations.

Jesus answered and said unto them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of G-d.” Matt 22:29 (NKJV)

Obviously some of the believers in Australia are having an awakening to the scriptures and are in fact pursuing truth, the knowledge has empowered them to walk in the truth.

America and Australia – the one feeling the effects of events, the other watching and seeing the need for change.  Church attendance in the U.S. was up after 9-11 briefly but the reality was driven home and our nation greatly needs an awakening.
