ISRAEL UPDATE

June 3, 2007 – King David has just heard the horrible news that Both Saul and Jonathan have been slain in battle and the grief is almost unbearable.

Knowing his former King and best friend are not only dead, but have had their heads put on display by the pagan army also enraged David. 

The  flood of emotions however do not cloud David’s perspective, nor does he attack anyone personally, nor challenge policy and procedure.   David did not say I lost these special people in an unjust war nor was there any indictment of we attack them when we should have left them alone.

Quite the contrary, David extols the virtue of those lost in battle, recalling with fondness the great times spent together.  II Samuel 1:17,18 states, “Then David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and over Jonathan his son.  And he told them to teach the children of Judah the song of the bow, indeed it is written in the book of Jasher.”

David’s memorial to the fallen written in G-d’s eternal word continues on from verses 19-27 and because of his godly attributes honors the fallen and doesn’t criticize the war.

I know it is a week past memorial day but today infighting continues over the current conflict let us know just how far away from the scriptures we have come and how many families are being deprived the privilege of our fallen being honored. 

 

June 3, 2007 – As world anxiety continues to grow over Iran’s nuclear program there is another aspect of the rogue nation which also looms on the horizon.

The terror groups within Iran are teaming up with al Qaeda and  intelligence reports are indicating this lethal combination wants to make a large ground assault into Iraq. 

By doing this they could make the success of the U.S. led coalition near impossible, destabilize the situation further and push a divided U.S. Congress over the edge.

All the while there are so many voices that area railing against the war, demanding a U.S. pullout, loosing sight of the fact that it is evil forces that seek to destroy our nation.

While the threat of nuclear war emanating out of Iran is a harsh possibility the threat of this ground assault could ignite the region into the uncontrollable fire of full scale war.

Obviously the tragedy of the information system as a whole doesn’t allow for all truth to be made known to all.  This is one reason why so many people are opinionated yet do not know the whole truth and these are the tools used to divide our nation, polarize our leaders and weaken us as a nation, and as the trend continues the problem will only worsen and our enemies all grow stronger.
