ISRAEL UPDATE

July 22, 2007 – So much is being discussed today about the war on terror in both Iraq and Afghanistan and also Iran’s nuclear threat but what about America’s friends the Saudi Arabia Government?

King Abdullah calls the American occupation of Iraq illegal and called for Arabs to unite so America can’t dictate policy in their region.  Abdullah further asserted in his recent speech to the twenty-two nation Arab Summit that his nation will not be beholden to the policies of their long-time friend the U.S.

The King also has called for an end to the international boycott of the new Palestinian government in spite of the bloodshed, upheaval and elimination of the democratic system supposedly in place.

Despite American opposition Abdullah has met with Iranian President Ahmadinejad over the tension in Lebanon indicating the Saudis were willing to negotiate with Iran despite the Shiite-Sunni differences.

Of course, man’s history has proven that there are always those espousing the “conspiracy theory” that always seems to center on anti Semitism and in modern history specifically Israel being the root of all problems.

The Saudi monarchy is proving their friendship really is not a friendship and when you cut away all the façade we find that they are placing pressure on American policy towards Israel.  As a nation our leaders are being brought to a crossroads by our best friend in the Middle East.

July 22, 2007 – The prophets of old wrote so precisely of the days we are living in, a time when evil would be considered good, good would be called evil and bitter exchanged for sweet as found in Isaiah 5:20.  Tragically the trends today show us that there is a concerted effort to discredit the church and all it stands for.

Fundamental Christianity is mocked, maligned and continually disfigured as America turns on their television sets on a nightly basis.

Our nation is such now that no religious or political leaders are safe from the lampooning of critics, comedians and talk show hosts.

Then we also realize the Pope can is so many words say that if you don’t belong to his church you won’t go to heaven.

Muslims can declare Allah is the greatest, there is none like him and then many of our religious and political leaders will say we worship the same G-d as the Muslims!

Ironic that a Christian in the light of this media circus can be depicted as close minded, bigoted and isolationist for declaring that Jesus is the only way to heaven.

Ezekiel 22:5 tells us, “Those near and those far from you will mock you as infamous and full of tumult.” NKJ.   No, the church hasn’t been perfect however, we do know they hated Jesus and they do hate us even now, thus the prophet’s words ring true once again.
