ISRAEL UPDATE
July 29, 2007 – The Syrian force is entering a new era of combat capability as it will be receiving the new Mig 31E that is the top of the line in the Soviet arsenal.
Through Soviet technology and the generous pocketbook of Iran the sale of these aircrafts to the regional bully certainly forces Israel into an area of deep concern.
However, even more troubling is the fallacy of western nations militarily supplying Israel’s neighbors to help the “balance of power” in the Middle East. Since Israel’s stunning victory in the 1967 Middle East war much of the world has either supplied military weapons or logistical support bolstering the nations seeking to destroy her.
During the war of attrition Israel had naval vessels held by the French government even though these missile boats were paid for in advance. Britain held up a shipment of replacement parts for the Centurion Tank desperately needed by Israel during the surprise Arab attack in October of 1973.
So, as the escalation of violence continues in the Middle East the talking heads of so many nations are tipping the scales in favor of the Arab/Muslim world and trying to cut Israel off from what she needs to defend herself.
Realistically, Israel’s population, land mass and arsenal in no way compares to the coalition of neighboring nations thus any moves to balance the power in the region only puts a choke hold on the covenant land of G-d.
July 29, 2007 – In Mark chapter 6:1-6 we read the story of Jesus returning to the Galilee region and entering a synagogue to teach. Many people marveled at his wisdom and authority and a few people experienced miracles from G-d.
We are told, however, that many were offended at the messenger as they recalled his formative years as a carpenter apprentice.
The pattern seen in the Gospels shows us a frightening chain of events that can follow when the true move of G-d is not properly identified.
First, there come rejection of the messenger which ultimately leads to rejection of the ministry that should take place.
Second, we will see a response to the wrong message, rejecting the truth eventually leading to deception.
Finally, there is a rejection that weighs heavily on the heart of G-d as He desires for all to come to Him and experience all He has for them.
Sadly, the trend today in so many circles is to accept so many things that are not truth nor do they bring life. Jesus’ promise was to give life and more abundantly. John 10:10, in a world filled with so much deception there is a true light shining, take hold of truth and be blessed.
