ISRAEL UPDATE

August 12, 2007 – We have long heard the cliché “from the ridiculous to the sublime” however; the world’s opinion of the events in the Middle East has gone from the “ridiculous to the absolutely absurd.”

First, the nation of Iran has confined fourteen squirrels found within their borders stating the West is using the furry little creatures to spy on them and bring down their Islamic Republic.  If that’s the case, let us go into the forests and mountains and compel more of them to come in and help as the world teeters on the brink of nuclear warfare due to this rogue nation’s policies.

Second, the current war within the Palestinian community has been labeled by our nation’s leaders as one between extremists and moderates.   If this is true, then Hamas and all the ultra radical elements in Gaza have been properly identified, but what about those in the area of Judea-Samaria.

Fatah and all if its off shoots should be called moderates and if the extreme groups are terrorists, then this must make the other moderates terrorists.

It seems like we are defining terror groups by levels of extremity the same way we choose mild, medium or hot salsa at our local grocery store, its still salsa!

Iran is supporting the Syrian nation to destroy Israel and most of the terror groups operating inside Israel and since we only hear of extreme or moderate even mild terrorists pose a threat to the world.

 

August 12, 2007 – So much controversy over the Rapture – when will it happen or will it happen at all and if it does will it be pre, mid or post in relation to the tribulation of which many don’t believe is coming.

As the apostle Paul wrote in I Thess 4 the Holy Spirit inspired him to write about some very important attributes and behaviors believers need to display prior to the return of Christ for his church.

First (v1-5) The apostles addresses the requirements of people to be pure and free from sexual immorality that the world is identified with.

Second, that we be honest and upright in all of our dealings with our fellow man again because G-d has called us to cleanliness of lifestyle.

Finally, as in I Corinthians 13 Paul lets us know the importance of brotherly love not just manifested to believers but even to those that are not of the household of faith in order to be an example.

From there Paul goes into a concise detailing of events that I believe let the reader know two distinct purposes of this writing.

First to be conducting our lives in an honorable way to be ready for the church’s catching away.  Second but inclusive of the first is that the Rapture is not only a reality but a probability closer than most people think it is!
