ISRAEL UPDATE

September 2, 2007 – Iran’s continual threatening to obliterate Israel and the implications for America are placing the long-term relationship into a most precarious position.

Obviously the threat of radical Islam, courtesy of Iran,  is a frightening prospect for the entire world especially the west but look at the option our nation is using.

Our policy regarding a Palestinian state side by side with Israel is doing two things.  First it is placing Israel in a non-defensible position against regional enemies.  Second it is doing much to promote positive relations with the Sunni element, ie, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and many Gulf States.

The rational is to be friends to the enemies of Iran and we will be okay except for the Syrian connection to Iran and Russia.  Also, it cannot be understated, the attacks of 9-11 came from the Sunnis not the Shia’s. 

Osama bin Laden, al Qaeda and the Taliban are entrenched in Afghanistan, northern Pakistan and more that forty other nations loyal to them and are even working hand in hand with Shia elements working in Iraq. 

In a nutshell the threat against our nation and the world as a whole is fundamental Islam, Sunni or Shia, and still our nation is befriending enemies that will turn on us in their attempt to destroy Israel.  We have not learned from the past. 

 

September 2, 2007 – After suffering defeat at the hands of the Japanese, turmoil and chaos in the land of Russia gave way to the Bolsheviks, Lenin and Stalin.

Germany’s humiliating defeat after World War I compounded by the harsh tenants of the Versailles Treaty brought Adolph Hitler out of the ashes to supreme power.

Turmoil and chaos in nations has also produced the likes of Mussolini, Castro and Khomeini especially when their predecessors were corrupt in their rule.

One quick glance at the local newscast can show us the possibility of even more of these scenarios playing out especially in Pakistan and Syria.

Further the collapse of  Iraq and subsequent takeover by Iran could produce a Khomeini like control over nations such as Jordan. 

But whether it is godless Communism, fascism, the Nazis or fundamental Islam there is always a fervent nationalistic spirit that accompanies “the deliver.”

Matthew 24 clearly defines a chaotic time that already has produced many false prophets and Messiah’s but the truest most evil manifestation the Anti-Christ is still yet to come.

We know confusion is not of G-d so amidst the chaos do not look for the Anti-Christ rather look up for the Christ, He will come again.
