ISRAEL UPDATE

September 9, 2007 – With the Hamas take over of Gaza in June 40 tons of weapons have poured in, about half of the total amount smuggled into the area since the July 2005 “disengagement.”

Arms smuggling through Egypt has brought in 13 tons of explosives and 150 RPG (Rocket propelled grenades) thus Egypt’s watchful eye appears to be very dim.

Qassam Rocket attacks are on the rise as well as mortar attacks as Israeli civilians feel the pressure of radical terrorist trying to provoke another war. 

As Hamas intensifies all their efforts against Israel they also are pressuring Egypt to open the Rafah Crossing, a move that would up the ante for terror operations inside Israel.

Some would state Egypt is weak and feeling pressure from the radicals, while still others suggest they are compliant with the terrorists.  Either way Israel and America stand to lose the most and it is so ironic as we see the powder keg in Gaza ready to explode our nation’s leaders still demand Israel to negotiate and give up more land. 

Interesting to note that we are approaching the 30^th Anniversary of the signing of the Camp David Accord where Egypt, Israel and the U.S. would supposedly begin a new era of peace.   Terrorist activities have increased, weapons and arms pour in, delivery of humanitarian aid is hindered, the economy is stifled and blood flows – it is comforting to know Democracy is alive and well in Gaza, a true monument to the peace process!

 

September 9, 2007 – Rosh Ha Shanah, the Jewish New Year has been touted by many believers as the hidden day from Satan according to Matt 24: 36 since only G-d knows the day of Christ’s return.

Rest assured, however, of one thing G-d need not hide from Satan His plans especially when there will be a showdown between the forces of righteousness and the forces of darkness.

II Thess 2:8 tells us, “The coming of the lawless one will be revealed, whom the L-rd will consume with the breath of his mouth and destroy with the brightness of his coming.”

Rev. 20:7-10 encapsulates the complete eradication of the devil, the Beast and the false prophet which are to be tormented day and night forever.

I have never liked the concept of Satan, who is a created being, being placed on a higher plane than he deserves.  Our concept of G-d must be this, He is G-d, there is none like Him, He does all things for a purpose.

G-d never told us where Moses is buried due to man’s greed and overreacting creating but one more religious shrine.  Further, G-d has not revealed the time of His Son’s coming for obvious reasons.  Even when the Bible tells us no one knows but G-d, there are still those that try to do it anyway.
