ISRAEL UPDATE

September 30, 2007 – On October 6^th 1973 Israel was attacked simultaneously by a coalition of Syrian and Egyptian forces with the help of many neighboring nations.

The attack on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement the most revered holy day of Judaism, caught the tiny nation off guard and before it was over Russia and the U.S. were rattling their nuclear sabers. 

Nuclear war looms on the horizon as Iran threatens to wipe Israel off the map, with the support of Syria and Russia.  Our nation fears Iran’s nuclear threats against Israel as well as the threats they have made against us, knowing full well the Russian support of Iran’s nuclear proliferation.

Three and a half decades have come and gone since that fateful War of Atonement and things haven’t changed except for the enemies of Israel and the U.S. have upped the ante.

Scripturally we know Israel will not only survive but we also know that G-d will defend His nation and His people.  As the world watches, the storm clouds gather, but he who watches Israel never sleeps. 

 

September 30, 2007 – Have you noticed the chaos that the war on terror in both Iraq and Afghanistan has brought not just to our nation but the world? 

President Vladimir Putin of Russia has now eliminated his Parliament basically throwing not just his nation but the world into fear and apprehension.

Iran’s nuclear threat to the world has kept Israel, the U.S. and the rest of the world sits realizing the horrible implications that could follow.  Our Federal deficit has been catapulted to an all time high and many fear the collapse of Social Security and Medicare as benefits continue to be reduced. 

I know there are several elections in the next two years but I do not want to address any political position, rather the historical and theological aspects.

It is from chaos that dictators arise and modern history alone has shown us these type of situations give rise to Hirohito, Mussolini, Kaiser Wilhelm, Hitler and Lenin.   The difference is that their local chaos became a worldwide struggle, but Anti Christ will arise in the midst of this global chaos attempting to rule the world. 

As we see this pattern worldwide remember 1 Cor 14:33 states, “For G-d is not the author of confusion but of peace…,” (NKJ), so let us not look for the Anti-Christ but look for the Prince of Peace, one day He will rule over all!
