ISRAEL UPDATE
October 21, 2007 – With the influx of Jewish immigration that began in 1880 to the day Israel announced its independence May 14, 1948 the Jews always extended an invitation to their Arab brothers to help them build the land together. They were only greeted by terror attacks and the invasion of six neighboring nations trying to destroy them.
In 1956 after many years of terrorist attacks on civilians and retaliation strikes by Israel her enemies were invited once again to the table to make peace. 1967 saw the invitation of Egypt’s President Nasser to “join the excursion to Tel Aviv” and after the unprovoked 1973 War again Arab leaders were beaten and invited to talk peace.
After a two decade presence in Lebanon Israel was demanded to withdraw while Hezbollah was invited to fill the void.
Two years have passed since Israel was demanded to leave Gaza and many radical terror groups in effect have accepted the invitation to fill the void.
On the other hand, Israel has been invited to the table for negotiation but all she has received is a much smaller, less defensible position from which to exist.
Ironic that one side seeks to live in peace with no threat of war but those invitations have only been met with invasions unless it’s to the table for peace talks.
The results are the same invitation or invasion peace cannot be found and only death and destruction follow.
October 21, 2007 – There seems to be so much controversy over the Book of Revelation, why and for whom was it written and its relevance for today.
The Apostle John before writing the entire Apocalypse was told to write specifically about three specific time frames that eventually would all be collated and relevant.
Revelation 1:19 states, “Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are and the things which will take place after this.” NKJ
Obviously first we see the historical precedence set by Jesus, unfortunately too many times history repeats itself in a negative way, the Revelation gives us a past point to refer to.
Second the church at large was suffering extreme persecution and since the Book of Acts the body of Christ has needed encouragement especially in today’s world.
Finally the things that are to come lets us know while so much of the judgment of G-d will be poured out on mankind however the church won’t experience these things and second if not born again there is a way of escape.
The Holy Spirit’s inspiration never wastes time nor energy and the Book of Revelation is the ultimate definition of Christ.
Mal 3:6 – states the L-rd doesn’t change and Hebrews 13:8 also states Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever thus all things past, present and future are not only relevant they show us Christ.
To be continued…
