ISRAEL UPDATE

December 2, 2007 – November 29th marked the 60th Anniversary of a Jewish State being partitioned and established under the auspices of United Nations Resolution #181.

November 22nd of this year marked the 40th Anniversary of United Nations Resolution #242 which called for Israel to give up the majority of the land won in self defense war of 1967, the foundation of the Quartet’s plan for peace.

So as we have passed one of these resolutions, the other will take place this week as Israeli, Palestinian and U.S. leadership will in fact prepare to carve up more of G-d’s covenant land.

The initial resolution actually gave Israel less land than what was originally designated then #242 has worked slowly but surely to push Israel into an indefensible position.    Even more intriguing is the fact that next May Israel will celebrate her 60th Anniversary as a nation.

Our last three presidents have been asked to serve as honorary chairmen here in the States for this occasion and incidentally all three did much to see the dividing of Israel become a frightening modern reality.

This next phase of land concession will ultimately lead to a dividing of Jerusalem and history bears harsh witness of the Holy City being ravaged, so I ask you, from this week make a special effort to pray that our nation’s leaders will stop dividing Israel in the name of peace.

December 2, 2007 – In 1970 a hurricane ravaged Bangladesh killing three hundred thousand people, however, in 2007 the more powerful cyclone Sidr hit killing a little more than a thousand people.  Why such dramatic change?  Because the information was received and disseminated in a timely fashion to warn people, and they could respond correctly.

Jesus stated, “Are you therefore not mistaken, because you do not know the scriptures nor the power of G-d?”  Mark 12:24 – NKJ

From Noah’s warning of judgment coming in a flood and fire called down on the twin cities because G-d couldn’t find a few righteous men, men have erred in both practice and judgment.

The Old Testament saw from the Exodus through the New Testament destruction of Jerusalem and the dispersion of the Jews, again the same.

We see forward from Jerusalem, both the Church many times has erred as well as the world, and even in today’s setting much of mankind’s deeds and actions will again bring G-d’s judgment, why?  Because men err when they have no understanding of the scripture and since they don’t they are robbed of His life changing power

Noah was moved to do the right thing when G-d warned him of coming judgment and to his credit was able to save his entire family.

Do you know the scripture and walk in G-d’s power or do you err?  If you do, let G-d’s word be your guide in the dark days that lie ahead.
