ISRAEL UPDATE
December 9, 2007 – The Summit which convened at Annapolis this past week really produced no concrete basis to continue the “Peace Process.” This gathering of Israel, the Palestinians and fifty other nations mathematically causes some serious areas of concern.
Of the fifty nations represented how many of them are secular and socialistic in their approach to government? How many of the fifty nation contingency are either controlled by fundamental Islamic beliefs, are teetering on the precipice or are ready to be overrun by that philosophy?
Look at the force of 50 and ask yourself just how many of these nations are not only vehemently anti Israel but anti U.S. as well?
Now that you have done the math ask yourself, other than the Israeli and Palestinian representation what other nation is first the most visible and second stands to lose the most? That’s right, the United States of America.
The fact that Saudi Foreign Minister Saud Af-Faisal is optimistic about the stalled peace plan because of America’s determination to “see this through” speaks volumes, since that nation produced most of the 9-11 terrorists. The majority of the fifty nations seek both Israel and America’s destruction and certainly they do not please G-d with their attitude and yet we continue to sing, “G-d bless America” at ball games and expect Him to do it!
December 9, 2007 – At Christmas time it is very common to hear songs and sermons about Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given and the government shall be on his shoulders and his name shall be called, Wonderful Counselor, Might G-d, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” NKJ
I certainly love this passage as it so clearly defines the message and plan of G-d for His Son both then, now and eternity.
Sadly, however, there groups that take this one passage and try to build the “Jesus only” doctrine and a text taken out of context becomes a pretext. It is of no coincidence that a triune manifestation of G-d would be established in the Old Testament long before Paul wrote I Thess. 5:23 defining man’s makeup, spirit, soul, and body.
Genesis 1:2 - “…the spirit of G-d hovered over the face of the waters.”
Genesis 1:26 – Clearly defines man being created in “our image” which does not indicate angelic presence.
Deut 6:4 – The Shema, the Hebrew’s declaration of G-d “Hear Oh Israel the L-rd our G-d he is one”; the Hebrew name hear defines a G-d of more than one manifestation.
So, as shopping sprees intensify, debit increase and the holiday rush stretches us thin it is comforting to know a whole complete G-dhead eternally existent was manifested that we humans made up of flesh and blood could be whole and complete; what a Christmas present.
