ISRAEL UPDATEAugust 19, 2001 - There has been so much boasting about the decade of the 60's and those who participated in its decadence and rebellion; they want to boldly declare they were active participants in the ten years that dramatically changed America forever.
We saw violence on college campuses, people swarming to rock concerts, the drug culture glorified, the promiscuity of free love and our youth shaking their fists in the face of all that was traditional.
Sex gender became less definitive, feminism rose to the forefront of society, and the war in Vietnam tore at the fabric and fibre of our country as it divided families and a nation.
Our religious structure became more and more of a mingling of a new age, occult practice, gnostic heresy, and liberal endorsement of ungodly belief and practice.
All the while it seemed that things were at their worst and falling apart beyond repair, G-d's divine sovereignty brought the Arab world against Israel, thus precipitating the June War of 1967. Israel's stunning victory shocked the world, expanded her borders and removed Israel's populace from the threat of artillery attacks from her neighbors. Jerusalem was finally reunited.
The world has continued to slide down morally, ready to be judged, but in the midst of all of this there is Israel and G-d doing His work through her and with her. We as Christians should look to G-d's faithfulness to Israel, His word and the Church and draw comfort and strength in troubled times.

Moral decadence, rebellion and man’s total disregard for G-d's law pushes America close to the edge of feeling G-d's wrath.
Our discussion of war leads us to think of how our not dealing with Russia, China, Iran, Iraq, Syria and other nations, compromise our safety and security daily.
America is feeling the results of terrorism both at home and abroad and is more vulnerable than ever as reports tell us of at least 100 nuclear suitcase bombs that have found their way to America.
True, during Operation Desert Storm, we had a nation called to prayer, but how long did it last? The words of Jonah are crying out loud and strong to America, “Yet forty days and Nineveh shall be overthrown.” Jonah 3:4.
Time is running out before America receives G-d's judgment. But if she falls, it will be due to sin from within, not an invasion of Soviet paratroopers. We will fall like a ripe piece of fruit.
