ISRAEL UPDATE

August 26, 2001 - The United Nations is supposed to be synonymous for keeping the peace in countries and seeing to the needs of many oppressed peoples around the world.

In past articles, I have been less than complimentary toward the U.N. in many of their policies and practices, many of which are discriminatory to say the least.

In one incredible book I am currently reading, I have found that the U.N. has not only disallowed Bibles to be delivered a part of humanitarian aid, but has gone as far as canceling flights where Bibles and other Christian literature were found. In fact, some missionary groups have resorted to driving the Bibles across or having them carried across, rather than be harassed by the U.N.

Many of the groups have quit working with the Sudan Council of Churches, as their policies have not been in the best interest of the persecuted Christian Sudanese.

It's bad enough that food and medical supplies are not finding their way to many of the suffering Sudanese, but it is even worse when the word of G-d is denied to these people.

By the U.N. implementing this policy, they are operating one of the highest forms of censorship possible, and cause us to realize the power they can impose under the guise of help and relief.

This is just one more example of military and political forces blended together in the last days, as again the spirit of antichrist raises up to oppose the G-dly influence in the world. We are seeing the stage set for the world ruler to make his appearance, but bless G-d, so will Jesus, and He will triumph over all evil.

August 26, 2001 - The General Secretary of the National Council of Churches, Rev. Robert Edgar, has been debated by fundamentally strong Christians over issues in today’s world.

When he refers to his "faith traditions" it is a liberal code phrase that means ‘I believe all religions are true and equal, that Christ and Mohammed and various other religious leaders in the world carried the truth, because all words are true and all beliefs are actually the same’.

In November 2000, Rev. Edgar removed his signature endorsement from the Christian declaration of marriage under extreme pressure from the homosexual element with the National Council of Churches.

During a time in American history where so much effort is being made to draw lines between the elements of church and state, it is ironic to see all religions being lumped together.

The Pastor of one New York church replaced the word Satan in their hymnbook as Hillary Clinton visited a service to campaign. When Pope John Paul visited Tempe, Arizona, Sun Devil Stadium had its name changed for the Pontiff's visit,  so as not to be offensive to him.

If we are all the same, why do we try to be so different; and if we are all of one accord, why do the liberals try so hard to separate themselves from the conservatives?

Much of what is called Christianity today is nothing more than the spirit of antichrist, which the masses are embracing.
