ISRAEL UPDATE

September 30, 2001 - We did not just get into a mess with the forces of fundamentalist Islam overnight, but rather it has taken a number of decades and multiple events that have now brought us to the brink of war.

First there was so much influence in the Christian world that focused only on the "evil red horde of communism" because of the McCarthy era, Korea, and Vietnam.

Yet as time progressed communism began to die on the vine, the Berlin Wall came down and what was once called the "Evil Empire" is now just a conglomeration of independent states transacting business with the U.S.

Yet as Israel gained U.N. partition, then statehood and fought and won their War of Independence, the power of Par-Arab nationalism and Arab oil wealth began to silently take hold, first of the region, then the world.

While the world of Christianity was waiting for the Russian Bear to descend on Israel (Ezekiel 38, 39), which will happen, the tentacles of Islam have in one way or the other entangled the world.

G-dless Communism said there was no G-d period; Islam says Allah is the supreme G-d and all must submit.

The term antichrist has a two-fold meaning: 1. opposed to and 2. in replacement of, and as this sad saga continues to unfold you will see more and more just how much the spirit of antichrist is in Islam, and just how much in opposition it is to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

September 30, 2001 - Another way that we came to be entangled in the quagmire has unfortunately been complicated due to our foreign policy. Consider our embracing the Shah of Iran, Mohammed Reza Palvi, shored up with weapons and supplies only to be overthrown by extremist fundamentalists in 1979.

Second with Russian invasion of Afghanistan in 1979 we poured millions in material and weapons to help the Mujahadeem "freedom fighters" defeat the Soviet Bear only to have those weapons and technology turned on us to protect Osama bin Laden.

We then decided in this same time frame to sell AWAC surveillance planes and F-16 fighters to Saudi Arabia to "stabilize the region" thus giving the Saudis comparable aircraft to Israel.

We also brought Egypt together with Israel for peace talks then included the Palestinians and thrust Yassir Arafat to the forefront as a "legitimate leader," with the Camp David Accord.

As the war broke out between Iran and Iraq we poured resources into Iraq to beat Iran and thus came confrontation with Saddam Hussein.

Is it any wonder the Arab/Muslim world hated us as we used shuttle diplomacy to only complicate matters and make more enemies in the region?  Was this just one continued misjudgment of policy after another or has it established the forces of Islam in an attempt to eradicate Israel?  Obviously Christians and politicians have failed to read the warning signs!
