ISRAEL UPDATE

August 4, 2002 - As world opinion demanded an investigation into atrocities allegedly committed by Israel at the refugee camp of Jenin, most are now realizing how much exaggeration and hyperbole has been brought into this situation.  I believe this was planned and designed to distract the people from the true issues.

The word “camp” would lead us to believe the Palestinians are living in tents on a windswept piece of real estate, cooking on open fires, and bathing in streams.  Nothing could be further from the truth.
 
Yet it doesn’t matter which “camp” has received media coverage, every single picture taken has shown nothing but apartments and houses in the troubled areas.

Now Arafat, with the help of the media, wants to make it sound like he needs to repair their infrastructure, i.e., the loss of schools, sanitation, and electrical services due to this latest Israeli incursion.

Much of the media coverage has centered on area A, the part of Israel under Palestinian Administration and Arafat’s control.  This area has been under his direction - with very little of these services - since the signing of the Oslo Accord.

If you would review these articles the last four years, you would be able to examine the documentation about the on-going lack of these services, along with the excesses and corruption of the Arafat Regime.

If you didn’t know better, you would believe that the nation of Israel is the evil perpetrator in the region and all the problems are due to her policies toward the Palestinians - at least that’s the way the media portrays it…
 

August 4, 2002 - How do the nations of the world fit into G-d’s prophetic plan as we approach the Rapture of the Church and the consummation of G-d’s eternal plan?

Daniel 2:21 tells us “And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:”

All of the oil-rich Gulf States have poured billions into terrorist coffers and provided logistical aid to these groups - in an attempt to eradicate Israel.

Iraq disrupts the peace process in Israel, standing in open support of Arafat in attempts to destroy Israel.  This only serves to “pollute the waters” of America’s intervention and relationship.

Iran, enemy of the USA and Israel, continues to support terrorism with money and logistics to Hizbullah, the radical terror group.

Egypt and Jordan are leaning more toward fundamentalist Islam, moving to a more aggressive stance against Israel, slowly, but ever so steadily.

The African states of Libya, Sudan, and Somalia are following many of these same patterns, gathering together to destroy Israel.

Yet today, I must tell you that Syria needs to be specifically focused upon.  Not just because of her wars with Israel, but mainly because of her open support of terrorism – both anti-Israel and anti-American.

Syria has more chemical weapons than Iraq, is linked to Iran, and will be part of this last mad dash against Israel.  Daniel was shown by G-d that all of these nations will be brought down and Israel will be exalted in the end times.  Until then, watch all these nations, especially Syria.
