ISRAEL UPDATE

September 8, 2002 - After the horror of September 11, 2001, there were many ecumenical gatherings all across America.  This brought many different religions together - causing countless expressions and references made about G-d in one form or another.

What is interesting to note is that there seemed to be so much unity and conformity, along with no opposition to what type of religious literature was read, or ideas that were espoused.

Yet a year later, we are debating the issue of "one nation under G-d" and its constitutionality, in full view of the American public.

This once again shows the monumental hypocrisy of the anti-Christian forces at work in our country today.

It is ironic that they want evolution taught in the school system, but refuse to teach creation in contrast to that belief.  Another major concern of Christians is that the homosexual/lesbian lifestyle is taught in the schools, but not in contrast to traditional family values.

So then why are the substance abuse groups allowed to condone G-d, giving serenity to people seeking sobriety - without a peep from the critics?

True, the prayer mentioned does not mention a specific G-d, but then again, neither does the pledge of allegiance, so why all the fuss?

It is apparent that our country allows the freedom of all to voice their beliefs until it is a Christian idea - then it becomes unconstitutional.  This is unadulterated monumental hypocrisy - the likes of which the world has never seen.

September 8, 2002 - There is a great parable found in Luke 18:1-8, where the widow woman continually gives to the unjust judge insisting she receive her “just dues”.

The last verse, number 8, Jesus asks a poignant question to the disciples, "Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?"

Today there are many "faith teachers", that use this passage to tell you that you need to hear their tapes, read their books, and come to their conventions - so you can be found in faith when Jesus returns.

Yet if we look at the context of this passage, we will see one thing, Jesus will be looking for faithfulness.

This faithfulness is the context of "stick to it ness", being faithful to all that G-d has called us to do, i.e., our part in fulfilling the Kingdom of G-d here on earth.

Nowadays, people have trouble being faithful to G-d's house, His word, giving to His cause, and working while it is yet day…

Looking at the church world as whole, it is safe to say were Jesus to return to Earth tomorrow, he would not find much faithfulness in Christianity.

The warning went to the seven churches of Asia Minor, yet they did not heed it.  Today believers must ask themselves, " If the Son of man cometh today - would he find me faithful?"
