ISRAEL UPDATE

December 1, 2002 - The names of Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein have been on the lips of the world's population for over a decade now.

Also, we continued to hear of the al-Qaeda and Taliban during this same time, as war has raged and terrorism has exploded around the globe.

Since September 11, 2001, America has been totally occupied with the above mentioned men and groups, as there is an international phenomenon we call terrorism.

I say that not to be flippant, but rather to state that terrorism does not emanate exclusively from these groups.

Intelligence reports from a decade ago have shown not just terrorists moving about freely in this country, but also holding many rallies, with hundreds of other terrorist in attendance.

Names like Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, the Muslim Brotherhood, and others - not only recruiting but also training here on American soil under tax-exempt status using the guise of corporations performing social services.

It is necessary for every American to know and understand that long before September 11th, there were problems with terror.

Hussein and bin Laden can distract us, but keep in mind the floodgates have been opened and terrorism has become a part of American society.

December 1, 2002 - There is much debate about the literal Antichrist as opposed to this spirit of antichrist, and that the prophecy of Daniel relates only to the destruction of the Temple by Antiochus Epiphanies.
Daniel 7:8, 24, 26 and 9:27

When people espouse this position, they are in most instances all saying they don't believe in the future Antichrist of the Last Days.

In Matthew 24:15-31, Jesus describes this event and then events that didn’t happen in the time of Antiochus Epiphanies, but are to transpire during the Great Tribulation.

But I believe that G-d's word leaves no question on the issue if we read Mark 13:14, “But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, let him that readeth understand, then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:”

Antiochus did desecrate the Temple - butchering a pig and flinging the broth throughout the house of G-d, but Mark is clear that this evil one will physically manifest himself in the Holy of Holies, the most sacred part of the Temple.

Paul wrote of the same demonic being “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called G-d, or that is worshipped; so that he as G-d sitteth in the temple of G-d, shewing himself that he is G-d.”

Mark and Paul place the personage, not just being vile in action, but standing where he shouldn't, demanding worship.  So while Antiochus Epiphanies was vile, the Antichrist of the Last Days destroys all religious practice, claims he is G-d.  This is the abomination of desolation that will be destroyed by the glory of Christ’s Coming.
