ISRAEL UPDATE

May 18, 2008 – Many people that have followed the days following the rebirth of modern day Israel believe most of the countries that voted in the United Nation’s chambers did so either thinking the fledging Jewish state would last forty eight hours or voted out of guilt after the previous decade in Europe.

Obviously the naysayers we proved to be wrong and those guilty souls for a while might have found some consolation.

For a while most held the line when it came to Israel but as time moved on the constant war for her survival began to wear down the nations of the world.

Whether protracted wars or the constant war of attrition with terrorists world opinion of the tiny nation fighting for mere existence has turned regardless of the intentions of her enemies. 

Neither time nor space would permit the continually thwarted attempts of Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, and Saudi Arabia and a host of others even during times of relative peace between wars and even signed accords.

One of the greatest reasons G-d has blessed our nation is because of our right treatment and blessing of Israel.  Isaiah 66:9 states, “Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the L-RD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy G-d.  King James Version.   

May our nation’s leaders understand what G-d hath brought forth He will deliver and this is the attitude was as a nations and as believers must have.

 

May 18, 2008 – The clean cut young man hailed the taxi to pick him up at the street corner on a bright sunny day as everyone scurries to get to work and school , “I have time before my appointment, just drive for a while, I will pay you for your time,” to which the driver gladly responded.

After driving for more than an hour the young man tapped the driver on the shoulder and says, “You were going to have lunch with Mohammed the Prophet but it’s not going to happen.” And then he undid his shirt to display a lethal explosive charge strapped to his body.

During their drive around Baghdad they saw no coalition troops or Iraqi policemen therefore the lunch with Mohammed was cancelled and the man disappeared into the crowd.

Even with all the satellite technology, computer links, Stealth bombers, and other modern weapons of warfare our troops are still vulnerable to the simplest yet most deadly forms of attack. 

When the creator of the universe said that “He (Ishmael) shall be a wild man, his hand shall be against every man, and every man’s against him.” Gen 16:12 NKJ, he was not only accurate but prophetic as well.

As the prophetic perils of terrorism are unleashed on the world we are seeing that technology still many times must give way to man’s primal instincts and realize there is an enemy seeking to destroy everything related to freedom, democracy and Judeo/Christian ethics.
