ISRAEL UPDATE

August 17, 2008 – Since Israel’s modern inception of statehood to the present terrorism has been a constant of Jewish life in their homeland.

In the early days, small bands of terrorists would violate sovereign borders killing and wounding innocent civilians.  As time went on the audacity and scope of these attacks intensified and a new twist was added, the hijacking of aircraft adding to the death and confusion.

That all seemed too bizarre, the world then saw the horror of suicide bombers that have wreaked havoc in Israel, Lebanon, Iraq and other nations as well.

Of course woven throughout the fabric of Israel’s existence has been her neighbors threatening chemical, biological and nuclear warfare on a regular basis.  But even with all of the progression of terrorist warfare, we saw just weeks ago the use of hijacked bulldozers causing death and injury.

All of the modern types of weaponry used by the terrorists display one truth these enemies of Israel seek her destruction by what ever means and the passage of time doesn’t abate this.

Watch the headlines, the world won’t deal with Iran just as they wouldn’t with Iraq and in Israel’s defense she will once again rise up to defend herself. 

 

August 17, 2008 – The flame of Olympic Games made famous in ancient Greek history was rekindled in 1896 for the purpose of uniting the world in peace, love and understanding.  Under the careful guidance of men such as Baron Pierre de Coubertin the Olympic Games have for three week at a time done just that.  While the world celebrates the pageantry and spectacle of the Summer Games, Olympic organizers have been busy behind the scenes. 

Paganism, occult practice, New Age and secular humanism are all carefully woven into the fabric of the goals of the Olympic Games.  But all of the peace, love and understanding of the Olympic Games were cancelled in 1916 due to World War I.

Three years after the festivities of the 1936 Berlin Games the world was plunged into World War II and the 1972 Munich games saw terrorists killing Israeli Athletes.

With all the fanfare and attempts to reinvent China at the 2008 Games one cannot help but think of Tibet, gross human rights violations and the involvement of the Beijing Government in the Sudan. 

No, G-d will not blot your name out of the Book of Life or add to you the plagues of Revelation if you watch the games but realize 112 years of peace, love and understanding only unify the world for a few weeks then it’s back to normal.
